I DIDN'T Ride My Bike Today, Cuzz....

I had a roof leak, well more than 1. I used the tarp method but it was not 100% for too long. I ended up putting down 6 mil plastic sheet and held the center and edges with partially filled sand bags. 2x'a to seam the sheets. That made it through the rest of the rainy season, and that one was a rainy one. I even saw my roof on google maps and could tell how old the sat photo was for quite a few years. I have a low pitch Spanish tile roof and I found an expert in this roofing problem. This guy had fixed missions which have the same problem. It worked wonders

I wanna play with you guys!

Shock showed up with the wrong # spring so won’t be riding this weekend, but moving dirt the next 2 days @ 9AM. First gap is 27’, 2nd is only <25’ but much bigger stuff in store after this section.

I didn’t ride my bike yesterday cuzz...
The snow looks about as good as it gets there. Must have been a good day on the mountain. I just cancelled plans to go tomorrow night, don't want to drive thru the city snowplayers. I won't make the mistake of going there on New Years day after a big snow again. Glad I got a season pass, will go Monday when the hoards are gone. I'm going to miss out on the off-piste terrain by then, dry forecast next week will start to freeze/thaw...but good base groomers should be good for awhile. This was supposed to be a big ski year for me, but so far cancelled planned Mammoth 4 day trip last week due to snowmageddon, I could have gone to BrianHead with some family but balked (I should have gone, they had a good trip) but there is still plenty of time to go later, hoping drought pattern doesn't resume.

Well I don’t remember doing it but apparently I tore up my knee the other night during my mad dash roof tarping adventure. Woke up the next morning hurting bad and barely able to walk but had stuff to do and soldiered thru it. Yesterday the wind decided to blow about 40mph so I had no choice but to get back up on the roof and take the tarp down as it was ready to take sail. That hurt and today I’m paying for it. Pain killers aren’t working but the Pacifico’s are starting to help.

Damn - we are just falling apart! Heal up quick!

Didn't ride because yesterday there were 100+ horses and riders at the lake for a Backcountry Horseman get together.
I didn't want to deal with the trail apples the equines tend to leave behind and the hoof divots. So no ride today.
I worked around the ranch and on the wife's lawnmower. The thing won't start and it has me stumped.
I will get out tomorrow and ride from the house.
