That section looks a lot smoother and flatter in the video than I remember.
My advice:
Stop trying!
Do other trails that you find fun and challenging. Come back to it another time if/when you are ready to try again. If it scares you, you are not ready, and need to stop.
That actually looks kind of fun. I have never ridden Chino Hills ... I may need to give it a try.
It’s mostly fire roads, but there a few fun ST’s out there.
My advice:
If it scares you, you are not ready, and need to stop.
There is a difference between fear, and intimidation. Until you have learned the difference, you are not ready to up your game. After you have learned the difference, you can recognize what is within your abilities, and what isn't, and push your new found limits. So you're saying if you are scared of doing something, it means you are not ready for it? Hmmm ok. IF most people followed that principle, we'd all be very boring uneventful people. I say go for it. Believe in yourself. Picture it in your head, smoothly descending and riding it out like a boss. It's obviously a mental block for this guy. Visualize it in your head over and over. Standing up with pedals flat, ass back almost over the rear tire, elbows bent putting pressure on the front wheel, look way ahead and drop in. YOU GOT IT!

Hesitation breeds devastation.

Do or do not. There is no try.

Walk today. Ride tomorrow.

Fear is the mind-killer.

Don’t forget that thing about being safe!So you're saying if you are scared of doing something, it means you are not ready for it? Hmmm ok. Well?I'm headed there tomorrow. I'll let you know what happens!
He hasn't posted a report...uh ohhh.Well?
Well?
Great.... We sent him into the abyss. Those who recommended restraint are vindicated. Oh well, live and learn. I'll get it right with the next one.
I'm not going to argue semantics. Do your thing. So, if it scares you BUT you know the difference between fear and intimidation. You can make a judgement based on your own abilities. BUT, if it scares you AND YOU DON'T KNOW the difference between fear and intimidation. You are not ready for it and should go back to the bunny slope???? OK got it. Crystal clear.
BTW intimidation is a direct result of fear. You are only intimidated if fear is already present. Without fear there is no intimidation.

YES!! Also at :30 and the monster long one at 1:44
I do ride FLoop. And I know that particular section well (pictured). There are a lot of descents there that I really don't have a problem with but for some reason, Bane get's me.If you ride the FLoop, there are a lot of shorter drops you can practice that are so short that you don't have any time to second guess.

GREAT. Exacerbate my fearIf so, I've crashed there. Hard.
No dropper and steep head angle, but they main reason was that my hips were not bent and weighted back...panicked and hit there brakes, slide into over the bars.
Get your weight back, get and keep momentum, look where you want to go, NOT where you don't want to go..
But it's very doable,
You need to lose your fear of going uphill first.
I did not see anything, except SLOW down when near WALKERS. Geeze you are on two wheels with gravity on your side. I saw the trail get a little wider when you passed the first dude. if we show a few seconds of courtesy the trail system will stay open. In a month the trails will be dusty, and nobody wants to eat your dust.
