Gas...

I'll gladly pay the gas prices to live here.

Working on getting the ambulance registered. 7.3 Powerstroke might be a little thirsty.

As I drove through da SFV today on work routes, I saw an average price of $3.49/gallon for diesel. Lowest was $2.79 or $2.89 at a Shell Station. I was shocked that my usual best price in da SFV gas station was $3.44/gal for diesel. It was 20 cents a gallon less (a 76 Station) for 87 octane then anywhere else for 20-30 miles around, so of course, I gassed up.

Gas prices in Iowa r cheap.. heck u can buy mansion for 10 dollars in Dubuque ...and if u want let's meet at the Chinese restaurant there...
Which one? U know the only one.. Panda Express..

True story... When my brother was a rookie cop in rural NY back in the 80s, they had a call of a stolen peacock from a local farmer. They tracked the vehicle to the newly opened Chinese restaurant. Sadly for the peacock, they did not arrive in time...

I still ate there a few times... :p

One thing that is new in the gas scene here in North Carolina is no-ethanol gas.

I was surprised to learn how hard ethanol is on lawn care equipment, lawn tractors, certain boat engines, etc. There are gas stations here that have specific pumps set up for ethanol free gas... and it costs about 2x what regular 10% ethanol gas costs.

Avgas is ethanol free. Folks used to avoid high avgas prices by switching to auto gas, but ethanol would not be nice to an aircraft fuel system.

These days all that subsided ethanol we aren’t burning in cars is now available in bulk bottles of hand sanitizer.
