Where did you score that unicorn beer?
Green Cheek Brewing in Costa Mesa. I also have a ticket for a pour tomorrow at Tustin Brewing in ... Tustin? Life is good when you live in Orange County.

Looks like a drug test.
I'm surprised the industry hasn't run out of hops, given the radical trendiness of IPAs.Hide the IPAs and flannel or you'll have gravel roaming camp too.
Apparently the Ukraine supplies a not-insignificant portion of the barley used in U.S. beer and there's hand-wringing about beer prices going up. People thinking the price will increase of course means that it will whether production is affected or not. Bud, Miller, and Coors expect any impacts to be minimal to nonexistent due to their collective phasing-out of barley in the 1970s.

It seems that mt bikers HAVE to like IPAs and the IPA craze really took off and went out of control maybe 3-4 years ago. I had Breckenridge IPA in 1995, but IPA was merely one of a couple dozen styles of beer then. Look through this thread - maybe 80-90% of beers mentioned are IPAs. I have to laugh that now they have to be infused with fruit and other flavors.Define "trendiness." West Cost IPA has been on fire since about 2007. Swings and roundabouts for sure, but yeah, they are still here and are not going anywhere.

I would not expect any IPAs to die. But I would remind people that there are many other styles of beer/ale out there that they may enjoy as well or better, although they won't be able to brag about their IBU numbers..Fake news. Hazy's are the current IPA trend.
However .. West Coast IPA will never fully die .... at least not in SoCal.

Woo! I’m one of the cool kids!
I burped a good one into Herzie’s face, and he tasted it a little. Was it yummy, Herzie?
I’m still smelling it..View attachment 80878

No, it's not. Nor the beer of the last 500 years. It's New Age beer - for the Woke!It is all citrus and flowers. Craft beer is next level at this point. They have hops that can do whatever they want the hops to do.
This is not the beer of the 80's.
Doesn’t matter it was a hot day, it’s clearly in a frozen mug and well carbonated.Name the brand & model.....

Sacrilege - but I don't like frozen beer mugs. Hard to handle, drips all over and waters down the beer. I'll take a cold beer in a room temp pint glass please!
How can you say that?!Sacrilege - but I don't like frozen beer mugs. Hard to handle, drips all over and waters down the beer. I'll take a cold beer in a room temp pint glass please!

There is a 2 fisted handle on this baby so no worries about mishandling it. No drip and no watered down beer, it doesn't last that long
Beer is for drinking, whiskey is for sippin.
