Very nice! So sad to have lost JO as we knew it. I've logged countless rides on that trail dating back to the mid-90s. Such the Kernville classic. I so appreciate the positive parting message in the Instagram post. May Kern River Brewing continue on with great success!

It's the best tribute to the trail I've seen. They really nailed it. I really hope the communities up there will make it.

My wife and I rode up in Flagstaff yesterday, Campbell Mesa - Walnut Canyon Loop. Our planned lunch stop happened to be just next door to my favorite booze barn, Majestic Marketplace. Great place to stock up on those unicorn bottles of whiskey, plus they have an overwhelming selection of craft beer. I'll always pick up special offerings from Founders, even though I know they're no longer "independent." Just cracked one of these. Very good sipper. All the flavor notes of an Old Fashioned, but in a beer. Apologies for the lousy photo - can't get both the bottle label and the background view in focus at the same time.

Does anyone know if Sam Adams Boston Lager has been discontinued? I keep trying to find it for when my dad stops by and all I can find are their new varieties.
I mentioned it to him yesterday and he said he stopped buying it when their supermarket stopped carrying it.

I decided not to try it. That was last night. Instead we, killed a twelver of Corona Light, then a 24 ouncer each of Mickey’s, then will we moved on to the C&Cs. This morning, I was suffering pretty badly.
What are C&Cs?

Pliny the Elder is absolutely one of my top favorite Double IPA’s and one of the most expensive. At $90 a 12 pack, which comes out to $7.50 a bottle(17.25oz). Not really more than we pay at a brewery for a pint glass. Still a shock compared to 12 pack of Firestone, Elysian, or any other good craft beer at $20.

Picked this one up today at Whole Foods in Sedona. From Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. Supposedly one of the most currently sought-after double IPAs in the USA. Actually didn't make note of what the price tag was for a four-pack, but I'm sure it was rather pricey. Really excellent Citra-hopped DIPA! They're in Iowa, and seem to be focused on IPAs and barrel-aged Stouts. They've even done some collaboration with Bottle Logic, so that seals the deal for me. Definitely a brewery to keep on your radar.

You know you're gay if seeing the pickle makes you think of a penis if all you see is beer you're straight

Disclaimer if you happen to be gay nothings wrong with that, If you’re into that kind of thing I apologize

All I see is the female with long hair - assuming it's a female if that's not going to get me ostracized - and the beer.

What pickle?
