J, are these the bars we talked about related to changing out my stock Santa Cruz bars that are wrist crushing stiff?
Something in-between the DH SIXc and Next are the “Next R” https://www.raceface.com/products/details/next-r-bar

I got mine for the SquiggleBug from ChainReaction Cycles for about 100 bones with a holiday coupon code. https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/mobile/race-face-next-r-riser-handlebar/rp-prod188505
I
had to pay my LBS $10 to cut 10mm from each end, but I probably shaved another 5 grams! $2/gram is 90% cheaper than dem trees everybody be smokin’!

Still using the same Enve DH bars that I was using when I posted in this thread 3.5 years ago. I like them and have no reason to change when (hopefully) build up a new bike this year. But I won’t be moving these bars to a new frame for safety reasons given their age and will purchase some new ones.

I build my rascal with a one-up carbon bar.
It looks good and it feels "right" but there are so many new things on this bike (including the bike itself) that I can't tell you that the bar great (or not).
I picked up a set of One-Up handlebars as well from the Path today. My Enve M9 downhill bars may be to stiff. I'm hoping for less jarring on chunky downhillhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UOplrd9RFss. One-up Video review-

^^^YouTube video above on One-Up carbon handlebars. Last year on Kokopelli day 3 I remember having had enough pounding going downhill and peeling off to get to the finish. I'm a firm believer in " you make your own luck". Reflecting back I know that I was running 2-3 lbs of fork air pressure to high combined with my Enve M9 bars that were to stiff. This year I'm paying more attention to ride quality and comfort.

I’ve said it before, the Answer Pro Taper DH carbons I mentioned early in this thread, was 2013/2014 carbon technology, thus strength over comfort.

even running the amount of miles I have on the hardtail with these bars, I never had hand issues.

I tested a bike (160/150mm) set up too soft for my weight, and within 20 mins my hands were killing me. The bars, Enve Minnaar DH bars. Yes, they are stiff, too stiff. Maybe for DH racing they are great, but for everyday trail riding, no go.

going to the Raceface SixC bars, I was shocked at how much more compliant they were, even going to 35mm clamp vs. 31.8 of the old carbon bars.
