Awe, c'mon honey, isn't all about the adventure!? Let's be original and try the tandem! Not on our beast.
She got a CX bike last year so this is the perfect ride for her.

It's going to be a sufferfest for me, either way. Might as well do it on my j-bike where I get a little extra j-powerI agree, it’s doable on the tandem. We just haven’t spent that much time on ours yet.
The Imperial has one GREAT segment over the metric, so it's possible to mix and match and do the best of both!If all the cool kids do the 60 mile version, I will also...
They're trying to sabotage RSR!!!And... The Hellfire Fat Tire Race on Camp Pendleton falls on the same day as the Strada Rossa for the third year in a row.
I really want to start getting in some long-distance endurance rides. I'm very tempted to start with this one.
I was just looking at that and it's 80 miles away. Not sure I want to get up at 3 in the morning tomorrow. If you are having another one next weekend I will plan for it as I'm off the following week.Chino Hills tomorrow! 50 miles with some fun single tracks...
The Strada Rossa is a fun event, and it looks like there will be a few of us out there.
RSR is a good one to check out, as there's no pressure to compete. Unless you like pressure to compete, in which case there's tons of pressure!!!I really want to start getting in some long-distance endurance rides. I'm very tempted to start with this one.

Right on! You and 49 similar masochists!I'm registered for the big kids ride.
That’s just great.
Thinking about stealing the wheels/tires off Suz’s CX bike.
There are about 16 miles of road segments that having gears you can spin up would be nice.Don't stop with just the wheels. Take the whole bike!
I was thinking of throwing some gears on. I think the 2.2 Rekon and 2.2 RaRa will be fine as far as tires.

Remember though: 16 miles of boring road means that the other 84 miles are amazing!
FYI, the 60 and the 100 are both primo routes. The 100 adds on a challenging climb early on, as well as some great rural dirt in the middle. If anyone is thinking between the two, you can make the call on the fly based on what you're feeling.
I wouldn't want to presume a thing...You've met Jason, right?
