Year End 2024 - New Year 2025

Well? That day has come…

A paltry 746 miles and 110,199 ft for me. That said, I'm happy with the trajectory of things. Almost 600 of those 746 miles came from July 1 until now, and just over 450 of those were on the single speed. The single speed was really the story of my year, and lit a fire under me again. I'd dwindled down to riding 2-3 times a month, and am back to a consistent twice a week. 2 new bikes this year that I'm incredibly pleased with. Starting the year off with a big ride today. Happy New Year, Hooligans!
Have fun out at PCE!

I mean, how f@cking gay are you? Can an actual man take a freakin' holiday break from a **** forum during the freaking holidays? Jeez dude, get off my jock.
Welcome back! I was worried about you. I still am, but for completely different reasons.

And it looks like I need to turn on my STRAVA when I walk around campus. and when I do push ups. Then I can be in the top 1% too!

Well, I always shoot for 2000 miles and 200,000 feet of climbing but only made it to 1689 and 118,173 after AFIB and the inability to get it rectified has shut me down. My last anything but walking was August 7th. We’ll see what 2025 brings but I’ve already cancelled (3) snowboard trips….
I hope you can get on the other side of this setback soon. Hoping for the best for you!

2024 was a tough year for me.
Guess I can say I lost a friend as well, 20 year marriage came to an end.
Didn’t ride as much as I’d like but had some awesome and memorable mtb adventures. Quality over quantity was the rule this year.
Looking to 2025 to be a better year, I feel like I am getting old, but plan to continue hammering on as long as I can!

No-like, like, but just glad you're riding with us here virtually.
Maybe you can make it to the get-together at Vail Lake on the fourth and change the narrative some?

According to STRAVA:
-I did 70 rides
-I rode my bike for 98 hours this year
-Rode only 648 miles ( an all time low)
-Climbed 68,999 feet of elevation gain (another low)

Had 2 surgeries:
-Plated and pinned a broken ankle
-Arthroscopic on my left knee replacement to remove scar tissue
-Yet still found time to drop an 8 ft Huck and tear my rotator cuff! Yay!

-Started a YouTube channel
-Retired
-Celebrating 33 years of marriage

I drank less beer (because @Voodoo Tom didn't come out to visit this year)

2025:
- Lose 23 lbs
-Ride more, get injured less
-Taking over as Worship Team Drummer since ours is moving to New Zealand
- Hug my wife more, even though I hug her a lot

I’m sure I’m missing something…
Did the scar removal help the knee?
