Yes Mikie 8 am, I forgot you aren't to fond of Manz. Be to hot anyway by the time we would finish it! Scottay's mentioned route is a good one unless shuttleing is out of the question? Acorn is a down hill challenge but I'm not excited to ride the long road ride back up to the resort just to do more climbing.

Excellent! Thanks Bud, be good to see and ride with you again! :D[/quote

Likewise, been awhile 8-)

Sorry guys! :( I'm out for tomorrow. Coming down McGill Trail today, I broke my chain coming out of a corner and it threw me off balance and I face planted a tree. Hey FYI, Trees DO NOT move! It was like Wile E. Coyote, I hit that sucker and just bounced off it and landed on my back in the middle of the trail face up. I just laid there praying I didn't break anything. Smacked my face and my left pec (well, if I had a pec). Got up to discover my Garmin laying in pieces. That's twice I have snapped this chain and it's only a couple of months old...?

Be careful tomorrow, like Hollywood Deaths, crashes come in three's....

Mikie hope you're ok! I crashed last week! Yeah guys ,getting hurt ain'tworth a Strava kom or pr.

Guys need to do Grey's peak and Hanna flats when you do big bear. Will try to do a rr on our ride today.

Oh Mikie! So glad you didn't break anything!!!! BTW, I knew trees do not move. Does McGill have it in for you? Thanks for the warning ;) , going to miss you man 8-) .

Scan the man, were YOU trying for a strava pr or kom when you crashed I wonder? Glad you are ok. Thanks for the heads up on the trails! 8-)

The crazy thing is that I wasn't. I've ridden this one section many times. Loose side of the trail just took my wheels out. It was a short downhill section :o

Maddog is in Colorado, probably riding boring Fireroads!

Yeah I've been in Colorado the last 3 weeks. Only 1 boring fireroad though. The rest were all singletrack loops or glorious shuttles! I'll put a little report together as soon as I unload the trailer and mow the lawns; so maybe next week!

BTW scottay, I think that "new" trail in WW is just the SOT between Mt. High and Jackson Group Camp and down lower Jackson to the lake. At least that's what it looks like to my low tech observations!

Yes and no...... first we did this <a class="postlink" href="http://www.wrightwoodca.com/wrightwood-hiking/hiking-trail.php?view&trail=15#Maps" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.wrightwoodca.com/wrightwood- ... il=15#Maps</a>

And if we had gone up a lil further and veered right, we would have hit "new trail" that drops down to the Logging Trail ( upper jackson) The SOT at that point stays left, next to the asphalt. After hitting Logging Trail, you would need to climb back out to continue to SOT at the ranger station.
Then at the ranger station we stayed left before her trailer , did a lil Geologic trail under the trees and hit a new chute down to SOT. Then of course we did DeerTrail to Lower, not sure if you've done Deer Trail, but its becoming a favorite!
