Working on iMTB T-Shirts

Re: Working on IMT T-Shirts

Any progress on the shirt front? I'm only asking, because I would happily wear one in the Rwanda ride, and I'm seriously considering the Catalina Gran Fondo...

Didn't see the "S" until it wad pointed out. IMTB Trails would look good too..nice choice of colors.

Number 3 gets my vote. I too didn't think of the S until it was pointed out. I think the mountain immediately makes you see ST. Looks original and fresh!

Re: Working on IMT T-Shirts

Check out beloved shirts.com. You can do a full coverage design if you want. That might be REALLY cool as I've never seen it done in our field.

Check out href="http://www.jakprints.com
Very cool and they have 2 sided no margin print T-shirt that is 100% spun polyester that wicks away moisture, and they use dye sublimate instead of plastisols so they are super soft instead of feeling like a plastic sweat box from solid ink prints...

....and! Yes! there's more! They do indeed have design templates! I'm getting excited again!

This seems to be a popular topic, Mikie... Hint, hint. ;-)

Re: Working on IMT T-Shirts

I would think it has to do with the chainring design. 104 BDC is 104mm, bolt diameter circle.

104 BDC, and I'll buy one.

What if they're $39.95?? You still going to purchase? ;)

If it's printed on a Haynes or Fruit of the Loop blank shirt that normally costs $10 for 5 in a baggie at Target, then no. :?

Re: Working on IMT T-Shirts

i like the very first one and very last one, with the mileage and elevation data. 6k to 8k is the sweet spot for the California duff/decomposing granite trail matrix. Absolutely the best melache/hero dirt in the world. Tho I must admit I have ridden in only a few other places on the planet. Nevertheless, MTBing the Sierra Nevada and listening to the Gratful Dead is pure bliss, and only Californa can bring it like that. Make both logos into stickers and T-shirts. I prefer long sleeve shirts with a chest pocket, though I can always sew an aftermarket pocket onto any shirt. Perhaps cycling jerseys with compression pockets on the back as well!!? Long sleeve jerseys would be sweet too! I promise I'd buy a bunch of schwag!

Re: Working on IMT T-Shirts

Like most of us I have about 100 T shirts. Of that, 90 of them should have been trashed long ago.

I will buy one or more! They'll also make perfect gifts for your Mtb buddies that could use a fashion update.

Of course Hrz doesn't need fashion updating, we all know he is OC fashion sense central :D

If you make the shirts in blue, Herz will definitely buy one.

Re: Working on IMT T-Shirts

Sneek Peak at the New Logo to be incorporated on the New Forum Software. This should be happening pretty soon.

Getting help on designing a full print Jersey both short and long sleeved...

Here for now is the T Shirt Design with the new logo.
There will be other T Shirt styles and colors available to include a pocket print with a large print on the back.

Re: Working on IMT T-Shirts

Preferences? Canari or Voler Jerseys?
I am assuming Loose Fit MTB Jerseys. Loose fit MTB Jerseys apparently do not have rear pockets...
Do you guys prefer rear pockets?

I want the black T-shirt, and a race cut, full-length-zipper jersey with the de rigeur three pockets in the back, along with the zippered small key/credit card pocket on the right rear, for my XC mtb rides. And another jersey specifically for MTB, meaning sans pockets or zipper - which I will buy but probably never wear since I like my pockets!!! 8-)

I personally like pockets... There are some loose fitting ones with pockets. The Rwanda shirt this year had one large pocket in the back, and my "salmon" colored one has the traditional three.

Primal Wear or Voler.
3 pocket club cut (loose fit)
Free ride

I will try to get contact info for both.

Pockets have my vote.

Is there a pocket design that makes it easier to get things out??? Haven' t seen a design that has solved that issue. :|

Yes, rear pockets....3 of them. 1 pocket isn't usefull.

If you don't have them, you can't use them.

If you have them, you can use them if you want. If you choose not to use them, they aren't hurting anything.

Canari/Voler, really doesn't matter.

Personally prefer full zip front....more XC style. If you want it loose fitting....get a bigger size.

just my $.02

If you are going Canari or Voler, you have already decided to go to the XC side of mtb, so I wouldn't worry about loose fitting or the omission of pockets. Go full xc, or don't. Those of us on the slower end of the climbing spectrum who live for the downs will usually select a loose fitting jersey with longer tails (not too long to get caught in the rear tire). We typically don't use jersey pockets, 'cause most of us ride with those dreadful-but-necessary hydration packs. Cool thing is, you can put a logo on anything, so I am reasonably sure we could find a jersey for the gravity-minded folks too, and slap a logo on it.

As the resident self-appointed fashion consultant, I just ask that you never wear pads when wearing Lycra, and never wear lycra if your bike has over 5" of squish. And for the love of God and all that's holy, never wear a full-face helmet if you are wearing lycra shorts or an XC top. Mikie can be the exception to the lycra shorts rule, given his recent unsuccessful attempt to adhere to the mtb fashion rules. And Burt don't need no rules - he's a honeybadger.

(Note - for the nuance-impaired reader, all "rules" regarding fashion are offered in self-mocking tongue-in-cheek humor, poking fun at the various trends and tendencies in our sport. Feel free to wear Russell basketball shorts, running shoes and a basketball tank top if you wish. I've been passed up hills by guys wearing this ensemble (on their Next-brand bikes).

Panic not! We will go with a company that can provide bof (both). I like both jersey styles. I too prefer the full zip down and 3 pockets. But I prefer the pockets reachable, I am no longer double jointed to where I can reach over my shoulder to grab something out of a pocket so high. I have ruined many-a-jerseys from pulling the shirt down in the back to be able to grab a Gu.

The OTB Club have printed plenty of Jeseys so UPSed is helping get in the right direction... All will be taken care of.

Also looking at Cycling Hats as well...

More to come!
Mike

I vote for the tight XC style jersey's with the three pockets like J suggested. The tighter the better so all the lovely cycling ladies I ride with can enjoy my man bits! :P
