Ed, is Dos Vientos worth it for next time I visit my parents?Dos Vientos with a local. 35°!
Definitely. I have a friend that regularly does 20 miles and 3k there. You can link it with Sycamore Canyon or Space Mountain if you want more.Ed, is Dos Vientos worth it for next time I visit my parents?
Oooh! I get 3 hours tomorrow afternoon! Who wants to climb Potato Mountain at 3:30?Them ol’ dreams are only in my head.
A few IMTB hoodlums are planning a ride tomorrow (Sunday 12/29) but have hidden it in @Ocpop's Hullo There thread. Here's what I make of it...
@Danimal is suggesting a modified STT-Luge-Whiting run starting from near the Saddleback Mega Church. He says Borrego and Mustard are too sticky to contend with, so he's planning to skip Whiting until the return voyage. That means pedaling the paved bile path alongside El Toro Road, then Santiago Cyn Rd, then Modjeska to STT. I believe he plans to hit Whiting on the return voyage (Cactus, Sage Scrub, Sleepy Hollow, Serrano Cow, Live Oak, etc).
9:00 am ride time.
If this is the case, I may join in, but start a little earlier and do Whiting in reverse order on the way to Modjeska, then catch @Danimal and whomever else at Modjeska/STT.

9:00 am ride time. Park at a little dirt lot off El Toro Rd. just west (or is it south) of Marguerite Pkwy/Saddleback Church Drive. Try this link for map. I believe it is labeled "Bike Trail Parking."
