Looking up a run called Silver Skis at Park City, after my run. It’s so FLUFFY!
Utah is kinda getting on my nerves this weekend ;-). Seriously though, awesome to see you (and the other guys) getting after it.But I rode here first...

As much as I enjoyed skiing, I kept wondering how my new snowboard would be in these conditions.... One thing is for certain, I would not hit double black diamonds on my snowboard.Utah is kinda getting on my nerves this weekend ;-). I haven't been on skis in 20 years, so it's hard for me to be completely objective, but with rider comfort/skill being equal on each it's hard to imagine a board not being the better, or at least more enjoyable tool for powder. Unmentionables aside, I haven't found a more enjoyable sensation on this earth than a snowboard in 18-20" of light powder. Back 180 off a roller into mid-thigh pow......pure ecstasy. Oh, and my experience with the Heritage in pow was that it very much held it's own, especially for a mostly twin board. As much as I enjoyed skiing, I kept wondering how my new snowboard would be in these conditions.... You'll let us know if they didn't right?I was thinking about riding Correganville to Rocky Peak then drop down Chumash in the dark. I believe they removed the large cat stalking the area.
Uh-oh, it's getting late. You'll let us know if they didn't right?
There is still time to go out and invest in some cycling rain gear.Looking like nowhere this weekend given Sunday's forecast. I have to work Saturday.
I have two weeks off. Road trip to So Mo?Late fall in the south...shake off the the St. Geo hangover and regale me with some plans, Californicators
I’ll be solo a few days, thinking of a recon tomorrow. An obscure line across SoMo beckons...
Might be worth checking out Mammoth if you're looking to get into snow. Last year, for the first time, Mammoth (via the Ikon Pass) had 2 passes. A base pass with blackout dates, and an unlimited pass with no black outs. Apparently everyone, including us, bought the base pass, because when I looked at cams during the black out dates, and talked to people who were there, it was no more crowded than a regular weekend, and at times even less crowded. Don't know if a lot of people also noticed that, and then sprung for the no-blackout pass for this season, but could be a previously unheard of opportunity to ride over the holidays without crowds. Town was still packed though.I have two weeks off. Road trip to So Mo?
Forecast is for snow in Wrightwood and above most of next week. Looks like I might be riding my Heads and/or my Never Summer, and not my knew Knolly (Norco?, Ibis? Evil? Banshee? Transition? Yeti? Mondraker? Commencal? Giant? etc).
Thanks. That appears to check a lot of boxes, and I am guessing I will never see another on the trails! Not like those dime-a-dozen Santa Cruzes...
