No totally understand. I just live 10 miles from Aliso so need to see the trail. But, @Mikie said he'd guide me soon.Sorry @SS Barby - Hard to make solid plans with the weather reports we've been reading. Got a window of opportunity and went for it. Great weather for riding. Spit a couple of drops here and there, but nothing coming down yet.
After spending all day tomorrow whacking weeds for fire prevention per county requirements around my house... if I still have anything we can do an Acton Trail (AT) ride on Saturday and do the whole fashizzle. No totally understand. You're waiting until the last day? Is that so that the weeds have grown out as much as possible before you hack them away? After spending all day tomorrow whacking weeds for fire prevention per county requirements around my house... if I still have anything we can do an Acton Trail (AT) ride on Saturday and do the whole fashizzle.
The original ride starts at the baseball diamonds below Acton...
So I guess I just did a trail invite...
Think starting on the Aliso side and finishing at the baseball fields...Cause there should be two vehicles. The original ride starts at the baseball diamonds below Acton...
Isn't riding your bike more importanter...You're waiting until the last day? Is that so that the weeds have grown out as much as possible before you hack them away?
San Juan Trail night ride....oh yeah!!!!!
You mean you ARE the wabbits? MEOW!!! Watch your 6 out there tonight and have fun.
It used to be June 30th until the drought years came. Then they bumped it back to the beginning of June. You're waiting until the last day? Is that so that the weeds have grown out as much as possible before you hack them away?
You gonna have to help me out here...Think starting on the Aliso side and finishing at the baseball fields...Cause there should be two vehicles.
I was talking your second option but I probably shouldn't have opened my mouth till I'm sure I can go(sh!tstorm at work)...I'm good with either option. Assuming others are going I just thought starting on the Aliso side showed them both options and made for an easier climb initially but what do I care, I like climbing...And I like starting at the ball fields and doing the normal out & back. You gonna have to help me out here...
Do you not want to start and finish at the Baseball Diamonds? I don't mind the hike-a-bike in the beginning.
Or...
Are you thinking we start at Aliso ride to the split... climb the South trail, then drop and finish off the North trail to the baseball diamond, then shuttle back to the Aliso trailhead?
Do you need a biologist to monitor your grubbing? It is nesting bird season, afterall. I can get one out there in 3 weeks for $1,200 per day.It used to be June 30th until the drought years came. Then they bumped it back to the beginning of June.
Now that we had a record post drought season, The soil is damp and the weeds are growing like crazy here in Canada!
Meaning...
I would like to clear 3 acres of weeds once and not multiple times. Especially on the side of a huge hill behind my house.
And WHAT?!?!? Turn them into.... wait for it... Chicken Nuggets!?!?!?!Do you need a biologist to monitor your grubbing? It is nesting bird season, afterall. I can get one out there in 3 weeks for $1,200 per day.
Well...I was talking your second option but I probably shouldn't have opened my mouth till I'm sure I can go(sh!tstorm at work)...I'm good with either option. I can drive if we do the shuttle. I am in either way.I was talking your second option but I probably shouldn't have opened my mouth till I'm sure I can go(sh!tstorm at work)...I'm good with either option. May be going on Sunday. Thinking of exploring in the Santa Monica mountains Sat.Anyone riding Skypark tomorrow?
Mel Brooks stuff....Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs, Mongo and a few others in SD
Where is that?Mel Brooks stuff....Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs, Mongo and a few others in SD
South OC on Sunday. Afternoonish. 2-3 hours. I wouldn’t mind company. I’m open to trail suggestions.
Yes, yes, and yes! If you can swing it, be prepared to wait around for me, or you can ride intervals as I slog up the hill.Hmmmm... I'm riding Saturday night, so not sure I can swing a Sunday afternoon adventure. I shall check.
Whiting and the Luge are running really fun right now... And will probably be empty in the afternoon. There's always Water Works- Machete Loops.... I believe they're pretty close to your starting point.
Or... If you're into HAB, there's always Ding Dong. More technical than the Luge, but a pain in the butt to get to. That trail would be more your speed. And @knucklebuster just rode it...
