Who do you use for TV/Internet?

Just made the call to cancel our DirecTV service, something I should have done a long time ago. My bill was over $170 a month with no premium channels and only two TV's. Since I have crappy AT&T u-verse internet that's only 24mbps I always figured that would be too slow for streaming TV but I was wrong. A week ago I decided to try Youtube TV and it works fine and we really like it. Plenty of channels for us and only a couple they don't offer that we'd like. I'll save over a hundred bucks a month and can watch from anywhere in the house or garage now.

I hear ya!!! I cut the cord a while back and put up an HD OTA antenna. Amazing what you can watch that way along with Netflix (or insert streamer of preference) (caveat emptor - I don't give a sh!t about sports).

Then again, I MIGHT watch a couple hours of TV a month.

Sorry to hear that you don’t care for sports. The Dodgers beat up on the Angels today. Just thought I’d tell ya.

Thanks!!! I don't understand the attraction. Never have, never will. To me, there is nothing more boring than watching sports.
On TV, you have a point. But in person, the fans are a force to be reckoned with. You can feel the energy. Watching the fans is parts of the fun. A great place to "people watch".

Probably why I always end up forgetting to watch the game when I go in person...

See the violence. Why did they beat them up, it's a sport not a fight.

In with @Runs with Scissors here, sports have zero interest to me. And I've been to live games many times. Even in box seats and suites. The best was an angels game, had table one, with a table cloth and a waiter, it was right behind home plate. The game I didn't watch, but the fresh sushi and drinks was awesome.

I have Netflix which I really like, the very basic starter plan with cox ($25/mo) and 150-300 mbps internet for $80, which I need for work. This gives lots of options and the ROKU has other stuff also.

Even sports you like and have played?

I too couldn't care less about MLB or NBA, and care a little about NFL. I don't give a rat's ass about USC or UCLA or college athletics in general (although I do enjoy the NCAA basketball tournament). I do like me some NHL. But bottom line for me is I would rather go out and do something than watch a game. I have no allegiance to California teams of any ilk.

I do tend to watch championship or playoff games of sports I otherwise don't watch. However, I've never purchased a ticket to a professional sporting event, nor ever bought a jersey. I've also never bet on a game or joined an office pool. I must confess, I am very tempted to buy a Richmond FC jersey. Go Greyhounds!!! (Google it)

I do enjoy watching sports that I enjoy playing/doing. Skiing, mt biking, golf (yes, golf), surfing, whitewater kayaking, etc.... Maybe some tennis.

So, @Runs with Scissors , we do have something else in common after all. Are you sure we aren't brothers separated at birth?

LOL, a table with a cloth and a waiter?!

You're definitely not a sports fan. Ball games are about sipping beer and eating peanuts.

Never understood why you would want to buy tickets, pay for parking, buy a $20 PBR and $10 bag of peanuts and sit around while some guys miles away from you play a boring game that is one of about 180 they will play in a season - meaning absolutely nothing. If you didn't do that, maybe they wouldn't get paid $40 million a year or whatever.
