What's Cooking?

Filets mignon. You can spend a lot or a little. This grill was $129...if it lasts 3 years it's a steal.

Lotsa possibilities with this one.

Traegering myself a new $4.50 bird...Lasts nights pre cooked turkey breasts at my mom's house really really sucked. It was as dry as a popcorn fart, so bad my dogs aren't interested in the leftovers. Went to the store today looking for a brilliant idea and they almost paid me to take this thing. Lot's of other leftovers that didn't suck should go well with this. Never grilled one before but I figure no matter how bad I f@ck this up it'll be better than the one we had last night.

What a great idea! I may have to follow suit. I don't have a Traeger, but I like the idea of nearly give-away turkeys!

after reading an article about acne (my eternal problem is pimples on my cheeks), I prefer more plant-based and nutritious food. by far my favorite is guacamole
I mix the avocado pulp with pepper, onion and cilantro. Next, salt. I add chopped tomato. Done!) Easy and fast. the main thing is that the avocado is soft enough

Frozen pizza is too much work. This was delivery from Gina’s. Slightly better than mediocre.
That’s too bad To hear Gina’s has gone so down hill.

I tried smoking my first piece of salmon. It came out pretty damn good with a smoke box and hickory chips on the propane grill!

then I went down a rabbit hole on sammies and made myself a roasted beet pastrami Reuben.

that was the extent of my weekend excitement.

Wifey is from Ohio and apparently it's a really big deal when the Bengals have a chance of going to the Stupidbowl. I don't know how many laps they raced cause I didn't watch but I did grill some snacks.

First some poppers.

Then some wings.

And here's what's left of Nicks snack.

And I didn't even have to clean the grill when I was done...

In the spirit of not riding...:(

Trisket that's what's for dinner. What's trisket you ask? Well it's a Tri Tip smoked low & slow like a brisket till it's about 200 degrees internal temp. Never done it but it's supposed to be good. Got another couple hours to go but things are looking good so far.

So, my wife came back from the store yesterday and told me that she picked up a Tri-tip to BBQ for dinner tonight. I just went to pull it from the fridge to get it to room temperature before tossing it on the grill and it’s a brisket. Gonna have to plan B dinner tonight since I don’t have 5-6 hours to cook a brisket………
