Trail Slayer 17th B-day Ride.

I was checking weather.com Mt. Wilson, 8 miles from Chilao. Temperature is warming up, only a low of 30°.
Have you considered postponing the BDay ride until slightly warmer weather?
Call me a woos but I froze my azz up there on New Year's Day. Going for a repeat is just not sounding... exciting.
I want to be at the Trail Slayer BDay bash, but also want to enjoy it along with the excellent company.

Just sayin'
:coffee:

Just rode up there in the cold. 30-35°F. Without the gale-force winds its not too bad.
From the top:

Specialized micro fleece toque
Neck gaiter
Showers Pass Refuge jacket
Merino baselayer
Nike wicking tee
Endura 3/4 length shorts
Costco wool socks
Shimano winter boots
PI WXB gloves

Dropped briefly into the 20s and I wished I had something warmer for my butt! Maybe a @Mikie hug!

How about including some process in this new outfit?

And yes... I got your hug. :inlove:

Specialized micro fleece torque-covers head and ears, fits under helmet
Neck gaiter-fills gap between collar and neck, can be pulled up for additional face cover
Showers Pass Refuge jacket-water and wind repellant, adds warmth, big zips to ventilate
Merino base layer-the Key-stays warm even when wet
Nike wicking tee-helps Merino do its job
Endura 3/4 length shorts-thick Cordura, covers knees
Costco wool socks-cheap, fits well in boots
Shimano winter boots-expensive but worth every penny, insulated, waterproof
PI WXB gloves- 2 glove system, inner liner is good by itself down into the 30s, outer shell is insulated, waterproof

Get some!

After clarifying the process?, it became prices...
Yes, some of this gear may seem pricey, but you guys are on $6000 bikes so I assume there may be some disposable income around.
Toque $15
Gaiter free
Jacket $250
Base layer $90
Nike tee $11
Pants $100
Boots $150
Gloves $90

As small investment that pays off big when you feel your nose hairs freezing.

What!?! You want a video of me putting it all on?

He is from Canada... Maybe they don't put their pants on the same way we do.

I'm good with the winter layers... Except for the shoes! I got soaked the other night... Bread bags to the rescue!
