Too cold to ride Skyline in Big Bear next week?

Only artificial snow right now, so I imagine the trails are good.

It looks like the highs in Big Bear this weekend will be pretty nice, so I am thinking about riding Skyline. Has anyone ridden it recently? Is it is in good shape, i.e. not covered in snow or muddy?

I was listening to "The Spectrum" on satellite radio... I believe a song by Imagine Dragons at that point.

The cold I can handle. Rain too. Snow just makes things less fun, more survival.

I rode it last weekend. It was great. 27 degrees when I started but warmed up to mid 50's pretty quickly. The trail was in great condition ... and should stay that way until it snows.

I rode Skyline from Grand View back to Fern on Friday, and it was awesome... 65 degrees and sunny! The trails are bone dry, as expected, but they are a riot! The fire road gates were open and there were cars and 4x4s everywhere. Also ran into about a dozen other bikers...

I wish I had more time to ride up there... Highs in the 50s for the near future.
