And, a certain type of mushroom grows out of them that can take you to meet Alice in Wonderland when consumed.Cow pies are not edible. Once they become cow chips, though, they're great kindling.

How ....lost?I feel lucky to have ridden one of the biggest of the Lost San Gabriel Epics: Pacoima Canyon Trail, from Lightning Point to Dillon Divide. Ponderosa pine to sage and yucca, cliff hanging switchbacks, swoopy creek crossings, serious backcountry. The upper section from Lightning Point to Indian Ben Saddle is gone. The rest sees only foot traffic now because the middle section gets rearranged by floods yearly.
If you are thinking Golden Eagle is on my radar as that suggested trail, it is not. Not even close.PARTY FOUL!
We all know what you consider to be the greatest trail because you helped to build it. That's not fair.
El Prieto is the greatest trail you did not build. There, we're done here.
How ....lost?
Like, Indiana Jones lost?
Or, just gone off the face of the map lost...?
Still interested ...
Well I do like trying to point out when people need to expand their horizons a little.LOL, never one to miss an opportunity to tell riders they're doing it wrong, eh, @evdog.
OK, I hate to be a thorn in your side, but here goes. Some of what you have posted in your list are riding destinations, not specific trails. And half of those are more like 200 miles from Canada. If you are thinking Golden Eagle is on my radar as that suggested trail, it is not. Not even close.
I would put (not in any particular order):
Palm Canyon Epic
Noble Canyon
Middle Merril/Sunset
Cannell
Gabrieleno (so many sections!)
Chilao
SART
Skyline
any of which i would put before GE. GE just happens to be a great local trail.
Man! We are so lucky to have so many great trails in a 100 mile circle!

Phew you didn’t give away any of our secrets...[Heavy sigh...]
Last time I checked Palm Canyon Trail is a...trail.
Noble Canyon is a.... trail.
Middle Merrill and Sunset...trails.
Cannell...trail.
Gabrieleno series of ...trails.
Chilao, okay.., Hillyer and Silver Moccasin trail.
Cedar Canyon combination of trails
The POINT... is, Cannell is an awesome trail, one of my favorite trails, and I prefer Kernville over the San Gabes any day of the week!
It’s true! Even if it is in imtb-Canada.
Wow, do I really need to take this a step further? Well, not tonight. I will save it for August 5, 2021. Plus, there's a breaded chicken paddy waiting for me in the mess hall.[Heavy sigh...]

I agree with you, @Mikie all great stuff. Haven't ridden Noble or PCE in probably 12+ years and that was on a 26" aluminum hardtail with a 80mm Sid or Manitou Black. Have really like Chilao that last few times. If you are thinking Golden Eagle is on my radar as that suggested trail, it is not. Not even close.
