Yes - had I committed to trail work, I would have to honor that commitment. Luckily, I am a lazy, self-centered slob who did NOT commit to your trail work day. Woot woot!

All kidding aside - thanks for being loyal to your word and for doing the work that many won't do, and that others (like myself) do only on self-serving occasion.
 
Well, it looks like what I predicted back on June 5 is about to come to pass.

"OK Sara. There is some unresolved business.
Time to post up a group ride for GE.

Here is how I see it going down. The ride invite goes out and on the appointed day every member of imtbtrails attends.
The Wizard, acting as parking attendant, finally "makes some money off you" by valet parking all the vehicles.

At the trailhead the teaming throng assembles. A hush falls over the massive group as @mountaingirl sara steps to the head of the class and apologizes for her mistreatment and cussing out of the group on " Not a Day Like Any Other".
Teacher @Mikie accepts, on behalf of the rest of the imtbtrails class, Sara's heartfelt words.
Acting pricipal @herzalot then steps forward on behalf of the administration and declares the matter closed.
Someone in the back yells "Three chears for Sara" and the crowd yells "Hip,hip, hoorah" thrice.

Mikie leads the group as the climb begins and the thundering herd surges forward.
Everyone sets a pr on all the segments both climbing and descending.
A massive celebratory BBQ follows.


The curse is broken and @mountaingirl sara is never injured again."

I will not be able to make it but I'm glad it is happening. :(:bang: Have fun you guys :thumbsup::thumbsup:

This is the only part I object to. Have you ever had your ride interrupted by a conga line of 40 mt bikers? It's annoying as hell and frankly a little rude to expect other trail users to wait 20 minutes for your group to clear. As the guy at or near the end of that conga line, I apologized profusely to the gals that we disrupted.

Even though your hypothetical, curse-breaking scenario was intended mostly as fiction and whimsy, I think it would be awkward as hell to actually play this out.

That said, I'm down for the hip-hip hurrah part!

Your enthusiasm has been contagious. I think it would be hard to find anyone on this board who loves riding a mtb more than you.
As some here would say “ The stoke is real”
Just have fun and enjoy clogging up G.E. with a big group having a great ride.
If that doesn’t work for you blame @Mikie and @Voodoo Tom for saving you and getting you to join imtbtrails. :)
