The Good News Thread!

Oskar Blues has done it again: They added three cans of G'Knight imperial red ale to the Conundrum twelver. It's a fifteener at the same price!!!!!!!! :notworthy::notworthy: Sierra Nevada is not looking so good!!

In other good news...Golden's moratorium on dispensaries is easily circumvented by a short trip over the border to Wheat Ridge. :sneaky:

Yes, it is happy hour on the Front Range! Happy short week hump day, my friends :)
There are more green cross signs than gas stations in CO.

Oh, and starting last Tuesday, they joined the civilized world by selling real beer in grocery stores and convenience stores, instead of limiting it to 3.2% alcohol. The 3.2 law was great when it pertained to 18 year olds. Pointless when they moved to 21 like the rest of the nation.

Hmmm, you can get drunk on 3.2 beer!!! So many nights at the Fifth Quarter in Durango drinking pitchers of 3.2 beer, "dancing" with pretty girls to MTV videos blasting on massive projection screens, or watching football games in the same establishment. 18-20 years old. Not to worry, we all drank responsibly and Ubered home. Orrrrrrrrr, not.

The old standby Don't talk about your health unless it's good is a worthy MO, IMO...

I'm starting PT today for my back, which is promising. But the deal to me is that I'm starting to be hopeful about riding. I got more hurt from my soil sampling in Dec than I realized. Back muscles got soft, alignment went out, with all the symptoms of an aggravated L5 bulge (and other residual issues), which an xray/diagnosis corroborated.

I reluctantly used meds for a couple of days on the advice of my radiologist rider friend, and along with a light exercise routine, I'm at a high point many weeks in the making. With ultrasound, electro-stim, etc., I should be riding in a matter of weeks. Where I just came from, that is some damn good news!

But, do the CBDs ease the discomfort?

Good question, Mike...

I used good old hydrocodone with a scrip muscle relaxer and Aleve for inflammation. I tried a few oral THC/CDB drops leftover from my tooth extraction, but honestly, I needed the big guns and had no mind to experiment. I had to get helped to the ER, couldn't even get off the floor, let alone into my truck. I denied the IV fentanyl on the ride over, but after that went in for the prescribed med program. Kept it to 72 hours and then went off everything to promising results.

I do like the oral delivery system the cannabis product I tried, so I'll be open to trying CDB for pain in a less urgent scenario. And there surely will be one... :bang::geek:

Woo hoo, freaking fantastic news!!! Glad you’re bike will have her man back!
I didn’t want to post but a biggish Run last week set me back. Near the end of a run a shooting pain went through my knee followed by severe swelling..it’s been unstable and pretty painful ever since...fock!
Anyways....injuries...they suck..but life is still rad!

Thanks, sara, but damn I hate hearing about joint trouble! You have the right 'tude. That's so important – and top of mind after visiting a new PT today. Sounds like you might want to get it checked out. Hoping it's just a hiccup!

Darling, did I not suggest to you that you take it easy on yourself, on your knee? Your body told you otherwise, dint it? Lesson learned.

Fear not, I have full faith that you will be back in due time.
