tennis elbow?

Anyone have issues with the outer part of the elbow pain, aka tennis elbow? I've been experiencing mild pain for the last forever, but this past week, its been severe enough where just bending it is painful.. I know I need to rest it so did not ride at all this past memorial day but now I am at a point that I just gonna live with the pain and ride... 3 days of prime riding weather and no ride was killing me...
Turmeric / curcumin capsules help reduce the inflammation which is causing the pain. It should go away after a bit, do you lock out your elbows when you ride?

this no riding business is going on for close to three weeks. finally got a doctors appointment for tomorrow.. elbow pain aint emergency so...
Let me tell you the nasty symptoms of no riding... headache, grouchiness, laziness, weight gain... wow going up the stairs got me winded!
I don't care anymore, after the doctor visit, I'm gonna ride no matter what....
Fullerton loop here I come.
I miss riding...
reading your reports up at Strawberry Wilson Gab, wrightwood etc. ... thanks!!

Tried acupuncture, ice, Advil, heat/sauna (so far the best solution but temporary pain relief), regular doctor...

All said REST.
Haha, they just don't understand... but you guys do..
how can I rest and not ride?

HOW CAN I REST AND NOT RIDE?

At Oaks, the high speed chatter on Yucca is my elbow's nemesis. I try to avoid that trail or
tell myself and my buds that I'll just go slower there. Of course that never happens and I pay
for it for a week or more. Sharp pain the last couple weeks...

Tennis 3x last week didn't help any...

I never had Tennis Elow, but i had a terrible case of Telonics Elbow once. No known cure

But seriously, unless you are a professional athlete listen to your body. Do something else for a few weeks and treat the condition the best you can.

Acupuncture takes a while to heal. It helps to tell the body what is in need of repair. You need regular treatments to continue the healing process. Also not all practitioners are good! I have used 4 of them and 2 were terrible. I have an acupuncturist in Upland , Sunrise Acupuncture and she is fantastic. I have healed shoulders and knee pain with her. Acupuncture is a natural form of healing so you will not generally get immediate relief. Just stick with it. The treatment Ross had done was typical . Good luck. By the way I did not stop training when I was being treated.

That's not Tennis Elbow...that's a Swellbow. And a fine one at that!

And to reply to the OP, I have had tendinitis in other areas and the only thing that worked for me was rest, ice, NSAID's and then eventually strengthening supporting muscles. If that road didn't work, I was going to try Acupuncture or some form of Eastern medicine.
