Yes, the 350 makes more sense, though I've heard some amazingly loud 350s - not sure why. I've never heard a loud 240s.

That comes down to whether the owner keeps the ratchets greased or not.

Universal is $470 built.

When people pay $500 for a hub, they tend to be a little more obsessive about keeping things....serviced.

Good news! Stan's has already shipped a new wheel to me. They didn't even want their old one back. The new one will come with a Flow Mk 3 rim - an upgrade form the Flow EX that I had (and really liked). Wider, lighter, stronger! They are even putting on green decals for me. Awwwww, that's sweet.

Bad news, it comes with a Stan's Neo hub. But I am CERTAIN they have made all of the manufacturing improvements necessary, right? Yeah, I don't believe it either. But as my wife said - a free replacement beats $700. Can't argue that.

New wheel will be here next Wednesday. Gonna run up to @StrandLeper 's house here soon and steal his Bronson's rear wheel (a generous loaner) so I can ride this weekend, that is, if I don't borrow the Uber Tracer from Laguna Cyclery.

A worthy idea, especially considering sale-ability of a brand new wheel. Or keep it as a spare for when your DTS hub never goes down.
