Ive never had to pay to park there.

Ive been there to eat, to ride the lift, and to do the Skyline loop. Its a huge parking lot. Never been charged. Never been approached.

Agreed....same for me. Been going there for one reason or another for 35 years. However, I have not been there since Mammoth bought the place and Mammoth does have a Preferred Parking *option* if you want to be in the front rows, closest to the lodge area. People pay in a heartbeat in Mammoth but it wouldn't be worth it at Summit.

You guys are doing it all wrong. You are skipping the Snow Summit trails. Here's what you do. Park wherever you like. Ride UP Skyline to Snow Summit. Don your pads and full face. Poach a run at Snow Summit. Buy a lift ticket at the bottom. Take 5 runs at SS. Eat at the top. Switch your helmet and pads. Finish on Skyline. Drink beer.
