Sign of the times

Stages made crank arm power meters. They were one of the first to offer them at a reasonable cost. Mostly as a left side only replacement crank arm.
They also expanded to both sides later.
They also made an indoor bike like a Peloton that was pretty well regarded.
They also made a gps head unit computer, but that's a hard space to be in with Garmin, Wahoo and a few strong other companies.

I'm still mystified by people who think they need a power meter.
I have a power meter, dual sided quark that came with the bike. The most useless thing I've ever had in a bike. And that includes playing cards clipped to my spokes when I was 4. Well, maybe that's a toss up, but the cards making me sound like a moto was kinda cool.

Oh look! My left leg is 51% of the power. o_O

My Mickey Mantle rookie card shredded in my spokes as a kid. I thought I was hot Sh!t. Same with my basketball signed by Jerry West and Elgin Baylor at the local market. Ground down on the driveway. Who knew? I grew up to play trumpet and water polo for whatever that is worth. At the time, I got to play the Hollywood Bowl 2 yrs in a row and made the NCAA final 4. But as Steve M. says, "Time keeps on tickin'...".
