Shimano just waits for the dust to settle on a stable concept then takes the concept and just engineers just past patent restrictions and makes it that much better annnnnd... BAM!
People are buying from a larger manufacturer who has one of the best world distribution systems and can sell for less. Dollar for dollar, I believe that Shimano makes better products for a better price. At least my bank account has shared that with me.

...and Shimano always builds in the product safety index that gives me the confidence in their products.

Just sayin'

I would guess that SRAM AXS is crushing Shimano's Di2 sales. I have no idea of the pricing but I don't know a single person that's went with Di2 since AXS came out. I don't care for either but demo'd Di2 and wasn't impressed. I have not even bothered tryin AXS. I agree Shimano makes a great product and would happily run a Shimano drivetrain if SRAM didn't exist. I'd prefer to pay Shimano prices too but SRAM is a smoother running platform in my opinion, and obviously millions of others, so it's worth paying extra for.

Besides, I don't know the whole Subway infatuation story but the product opinions of anybody that seeks out Subway when it's literally the worst of of any sandwich chain in existence is definitely suspect. :D

My friends who thru-hiked the Tahoe Rim Trail stopped by the southern Sierra for a L/F tag of Langley on their way home. 22/4000/10:30

Y'know, I would argue that their meatball sub on parm bread is really very good, but @Mikie LOVES their breakfast sandwich, which is not-arguably the WORST breakfast sandwich ever sold for human consumption. It's scientifically proven!

And since I started this latest round of Shimano vs SRAM, let me just say that I have been a huge Shimano fan until this 12 spd XT. That said, their brakes are da bomb and SRAM should be strung up and made to eat Subway breakfast sandwiches for their LAZY-ASS excuse for rear cassette intervals. C'mon - really? Slap a 52 tooth to your 11 spd 10-42 cassette? Inexcusable. Some of us can use something between 42 and 52. Actually, most of us can.

I stop at 42. But that's just me. :Roflmao

Hey Meestah!
Totally agree!
But as mentioned more than likely in several other threads, Shimano be smart! It used to be that Shimano was breaking out all the latest technology. But they got smart.
With the market constantly changing, and understanding the devastation of proprietary focused parts that actually come back to bite you.
Why innovate any longer?

Look how many things have changed, just over the last couple of years!
Why not let all the more agile small companies trying to build their names with cool tech go kick the bushes and spend all their R&D money. Let them bird dog the next big thing.

Maybe, but I still can't find some of the parts I need, so WTH.
Me likes shimano, sram is ok, so one is betterer than the other or not, ride what ya ride and like the snake said, if all yall can't figure out my crap English than whatever. I know what people are trying to say regardless of grammar.... this may be from me working with many English as a second language folks and deciphering what they are trying to convey.
their doing they're part where there doing it and IDC if the grammar is good bad or ugly. :)
Now carry on. :)

I was out front this afternoon asking the landscaper not to bother with the backyard because my wife was back there getting some sun and reading. Just as I'm telling him this his assistant/helper comes running out of the side gate with his weedwhacker. He'd walked in the back gate with his radio blaring and my wife freaked out. She thought someone was breaking in and ran at him screaming.:Roflmao

What gets me is that she pleads ignorance. Like, what does she think those two dudes running around with machines on the lawn at 2 PM EVERY SINGLE FRIDAY are doing!?!

If you guys want to push the Scram vs Slumano. I can quickly determine the materials down to the zilch level. I will get the guys to put it in the electron microscope and we will run an EDS (Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy). EDS don't lie, people do
Nobody can be trusted when they call Shimano Slumano.
Sorry, you and your team are OUT!
Oh, and a pic…
