New moon down by the lake...

I’ll repeat....:ebikers just need to admit they are lazy AF....::

Two weeks ago I was biking in Lake Norman SP with a new biking buddy on a Sunday afternoon. Great trails, great loops... but we're talking maybe 80-100 feet per mile elevation. Still, a great workout limited only by how fast you want to push yourself because of the short lines and the inability to carry speed over many of the humps. At any rate, my friend and I are rolling along and suddenly we meet three bikers coming TOWARDS US on the six mile, one-way trail. Sure enough - e-bikes. And what was even sadder was these guys looked half our age. For the rest of our ride, we didn't see another bike, because that is what one-way flow does for you. However, I'll bet those guys ran into a dozen different bikers - all of whom were happy to tell them "you're going the wrong way". I'll bet it got really old after the 3rd time :)

Dig it! What organization posted that? Can't read the bottom logo...

Tarheel Trailblazers - my regional club

They maintain all the trails in the greater Charlotte area. I have yet to see anything that is super technical, but I have only seen a small sampling of what is out here. So far, instead of rocks you are dealing with roots and tree trunks. The trails seem a little more forgiving regarding spills as well, since you are mostly falling on pine needles, leaves and mud instead of rocks, rocks and more rocks.
