Poppy People cannot be contained!

We have similar going on up here, and I must admit I’m pretty territorial
The worst is when these noodle heads are driving San Fransisquito Cyn going 30 mph and are clueless to the fact that there is a line of 15 cars behind them..that’s when I snap:confused: Just check your rear view mirror once in a while people and pull over or use the turnouts! Grrrrr!
:)
So that was YOU

If it's crowded in Laguna Beach, that doesn't give me the right to stop my car and park on the side of PCH (in a no-parking lane) just so I can see the waves.

I stay away from the Poppy People because they represent the worse kind of "selfie-snapping" nature poseurs - who are busy taking photos of seasonal flowers while trampling all the plants and dropping water bottles and soiled diapers everywhere they go. The good news is that they might drive 100 miles to see some flowers, but they rarely stray more than 100 yards from a parking lot. The rest of the year you will never see them out in nature - which I guess is a blessing.

When I read the newspaper article about people trying to go out there to take wedding photos, and the photographers having to leave because they can't get a shot because there are too many people out trampling on the hills - and on the way out they pack "as many empty water bottles as they can carry" it makes me really sad. I can ride Holy Jim for six months and never see so much as a gum wrapper, and yet the week after Memorial Day the trail is littered with trash, with trampled plants and trail short-cuts everywhere. And these people describe themselves as "nature lovers"?

The only good news is the warm weather has brought the snakes out. I don't want anyone to get bitten by a snake... but the snakes tend to keep people on the trails :)
Well, there you have it. Avoid the poppy people zones until the people’s poppies go away.

This is an old enough crowd that you all probably know what that green symbol is in the upper left corner of Tucker's pic. Right?
These Poppy People Rock! :gotnothing:

While this is sad....let's not jump to conclusions that it was the poppy people. This happened on the SB 15, and from reading the CHP log....it looks like some one was weaving in and out of traffic, then tried to pass on the right hand shoulder when they hit the motor officer.

Maybe it was the poppy people, maybe it was just some random Joe that was fed up with the Poppy People traffic out there and was hastily trying to get passed it.

Sad either way you look at it.

TV news was linking it to the crowded conditions and impatience of drivers either competing for a spot, trying to get through the traffic or distracted by the view. Sounds like the douchebag was impatient and wanted to bend time and space, because he shouldn't have to contend with traffic.
