Grasslands has reopened? The best of Backbone is between Corral and Mishe Mokwa. Corral to Kanan is the most demanding followed by Kanan to Encinal then of course Encinal to Mishe Mokwa. I would prefer to park at Encinal and go to Corral first as it's the toughest.
That being said I don't think you can easily connect to the Topanga side and I don't know that side that well.
Millennium is actually a great option. We can add Colossus and Grasslands to get 20~ and 3000~
If the group prefers a slice of Cheese then we could do @buggravy's route that was postponed due to his injury.
Edit: Just saw @SS Barby's post on Millennium. It's been cleared and is in great shape.
Last I saw, a sign stated that Hwy 2 was closed at Clear Creek. All roads heading up to Chilao are closed right now
Smacking like a pipe dream, but I can ride tomorrow and Tuesday for sure.I'm in as long as Herz picks me up on the way. And, I agree, we need a few days out there.
I'm riding Tuesday, but on snow (with equipment designed for snow sliding) with a couple of friends. Phoenix would have to be towards the end of the week - so not an actual New Years' Eve/Day ride.Smacking like a pipe dream, but I can ride tomorrow and Tuesday for sure.

That was over a year ago. It's open. After the fire, I heard that it was closed due to extensive fire damage.
Seems logical. That was over a year ago. It's open.
What do you all think that are joining of maybe a Cheeseboro Trail loop with maybe a Dead Cow/Suicide loop and then return via Sheep Corral to Cheeseboro loop to parking area? Then if we want more adding Millennial, if really ambitious? What is a good start time?
Best solution to eating too much and being a little out of shape is to not ride?Im out. Not riding well. Been eating too much crap this holiday season and its affecting my ability to ride.
No sir, I am actually riding more, but in shorter spans. These group rides are competitive and they always move faster than I usually ride, even though everyone says it will be a mellow pace before they get started. I am not feeling well enough to push hard. I am however very interested in burning calories and exercising my legs but at a more gentle pace. I will ride tomorrow and on NYD and I rode today, as well.Best solution to eating too much and being a little out of shape is to not ride?
What the MAN with the VAN said!!!I'm looking for ~25/300. Emphasis on fun.

I'm still thinking @buggravy's loop. Start at the end of Las Virgenes @8. Edison into the park then Sulphur, Sheep, Palo, China Flats, Palo, Sheep, Las Virgenes and out. We can add or subtract as the group wants.Me and @UPSed were talking about Chesebro also. Pretty sure that's where I'm heading on NYD. I gotta be rolling by 9am, latest. Earlier is better for me.

Don't forget SCAN in your ironic rhyme!FRAN the MAN said. What the MAN with the VAN said!!!
