New Forum for imtbgear

Gee,
With all this time on my hands I built a new landing page for imtbgear.
I love working with graphics and enjoy writing html code. If you get the chance, just take a look. It’s best viewed on a full desktop computer cuz I did a lot of full screen graphics in the background. But you can view them on your phone or an iPad by scrolling all the way to the bottom. I tried to make the site more motivational and I added new navigation so you can click directly to the Tailwind page. Not trying to coerce a sale, just bragging about my handiwork. Take a peek! :)

Ohh! And if you refresh the page, a new motivational image should be in the background. Currently there is a total of 8 images.

Dude, find somebody who can do t-shirts and socks. I'm serious!

@Mikie Check your URL's. You don't have your new page URL set to a www address (it is https://imtbgear.com and not https://www.imtbgear.com). You will have all sorts of conflicts between this side of the site and that one, particularly if you expect to use the same set of cookies for both (it will make it appear like the site doesn't recognize you or you are logged out). You can edit your .htaccess file to include a generic traffic redirect, but personally I would just set up the whole thing in www.

Hey Greg,
Thanks for the heads up. But that was not it although I did take your advice and applied the www.
No matter how I configured it from the outside of WordPress it gave me grief. So anyone else reading this, you will probably switch off from here as I am going to share with Greg what I ended up doing code wise.
...which was,
I ended up building a custom static page internal to wordpress by adding <?php /* Template Name: landing */ ?> to the top of my html template page and saved it as a .php file. Added it as a page in WordPress.
Then had all the links reach outside of the WordPress package into the Root file for the images, CSS, and the JS separate of the WordPress internals.

Tested it several times and it no longer appears to crash the shopping cart! Yay!

See what us Web folks go through. Might I add, most likely like Greg, all this crud is self taught.
Bottom line is I got my pretty home page back!
I just got to go into imtbtrails now and point to the new landing page which I am doing right now.

I have run through it several times testing all the links and navigation and have been unable to break it :) It works fine for me!

I did notice one thing you may want to check out. It may not even be incorrect, but it looked weird. When I added product into the cart and asked for a shipping quote, the Priority Mail shipping quote was lower than the Flat Rate quote.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I think I can priorities shipping, but I encourage everyone all the time to hit $50 bucks to get free shipping and let me eat the shipping.

@mtnbikej gave me a packet to try... Guess I need to plan a big ride, so I can be rebuilt. I'm hoping for a complete overhaul. Can it do that? :p
Yes!
In fact there is a menu at www.tailwindnutrition.com/menu
Where upon completing a 15 Scoop bag you get to choose who you want to be!
Make a selection and they send the final catalyst for the transformation!

So do you want both the 15 Scoop of Chocolate and Vanilla, or just the 15 Scoop of Chocolate? :sneaky:

Tailwind would fire me as their spokesperson if they hired me... :whistling:
