Several years back I was on a crash course to boredom and couch potato( ism) with eventual heart failure. I had just moved from my home town of 40+ years in the sticks to be closer to my job and not die on the stupid 5 freeway. Circa 2009 ish I had life by the ballzz with wife & kid & dog and a super nice newly remodeled home and a paid off mortgage. I hired this contractor guy that my father in law had been working with cause I respect his opinion to the moon and back. The house remodel I'm talking bout didn't go completely off with out a hitch, this guy Mike that I hired was taking my money and I didn't like it. My wife kept adding sh!t that cost more money and I thought it was this guys fault. We had a couple meetings where I planned on unloading on this Mike guy but he really came across as a straight shooter. Then around 2012 I moved to Castaic and was about to die from boredom after leaving the only place I knew as home and all my friends. Six months in I ballooned up in weight and really wasn't happy. I kept seeing these guys riding MTB's just across the freeway and finally one day I convinced my wife that we both needed one. Tapia canyon was the sh!t for about a dozen laps till I started getting bored again. Then I started searching the inter webby thing for other places to ride. Eventually I came across some posts about this Mikie guy from Frazier Park doing some crazy rides. I asked the wife if it was possible if this could possibly be the guy that remodeled our house and she laughed at me. Turns out this was the same guy who did a bomb remodel on my old house. Eventually we rode Golden Eagle together and the rest is history. This dude brought me back from a dark place and has shown me more new dirt than I ever new existed. I love you brother @Mikie Watson. Thank you for this place many of us call home and the great friends I've made over the years of hanging out here... Merry Christmas everyone.

What a great and very funny story this is, and all true! So here is two stories of Mountain Bikes saving lives! :thumbsup:

Translated: the dogs got the Christmas Turkey and you are ending up at the only open restaurant which happens to be Chinese where they dump in front of you a glazed Duck staring back up at you...

They should make a movie like that...:cool:
