Manzanita 12/2

Nice write up guys and pics!! MD you claim to be techno challenged but I think you've got the emoji thing mastered!!:thumbsup:. VT you should try the Burkhart climb, not far from punchbowl....I've vowed not to climb that again.
Those face things are easy! Even for me:geek:! Wish you had been there! You gotta go on the shuttle when it happens. You could park at the top and not even drive to the bottom. We'll take you back up to your vehicle.......for a price;)!

Picture Slot Machine.
I thought I recognized this Buffoon!
I can not even recall the reason for the knee, but isn't that how it is supposed to be? Forget the pain and remember the good times?
I wonder how Manzanita fared from this last onslaught of rain?

DEAD THREAD AWAKEN! I saw a pic in the spinner, next thing you know I feel like I'm responding to a current thread...

That last section of extra credit, I had not ridden in literally 20 years. I used to ride that on my 3X8 Proflex with 1.8 to 2.0 XC Porcupine tires.

Ha! I think my buddy and I met you out there once, in that time period. We were climbing Manza, near the upper switchbacks, you were descending. I recall because it's one of only a handful of ProFlex's I've seen in the wild. That day did not end well. Turns out my buddy was a fish. We ended up at the pizza place in Wrightwood, quaffing brew. Never did get to descend Manza. Ended up descending the road in the dark back South Fork.

The 3 segments of HDNRT can be combined in interesting ways. I'm probably gonna try to do all 3 in a day near future. I'll remember to post an invite.
