The stem is off center but it also looks like the bars got bent. Did you taste some dirt?

His wheel is pointed slightly to the right, so stem is probably centered.

His saddle on the other hand...

I set my stem off center to the right because it helps me clean the tight right handed switch backs I seem to always have trouble with. What? You didn’t know that was a thing? Did not taste any dirt, and my handle bars came from the factory like that. Are they bent? I never noticed?

I wonder which bike company will catch onto this technique and patent the design with a proprietary steer tube/stem configuration.

That's the spot! On the little saddle where the trail transitions from south to north side of the ridge.
