A little update on dealing with the aftermath. Just sold the old family home. My spouse got it in showable shape in a record 3 weeks. Not a hoarder situation, but a child of the depression if you can imagine.
7 days, soup to nuts, in the middle of a pandemic. 3 days of showings, 3 days of offers/counter offers. And in escrow this PM. 8.5% over asking price. Buyers frenzy in a heavily Asian community. Got to see several sets of financials. People are flush with cash. Inconceivable, says I.
