I had a colleague who abandoned the environmental planning business so she could write for Outside Magazine. She endeavored to work only when and on what she wanted, so her career shift made sense, or so I thought.I'm stunned, absolutely stunned I tell ya....Outside is shutting down Beta magazine (at least in print), the replacement to Bike. I guess they couldn't find enough people willing to pay ridiculous money for a MTB magazine. https://www.bicycleretailer.com/ind...-makes-staff-cuts-and-shuts-beta#.YpVm4i-B3UI

Well you don't have to propose to her, lol. She's still fun to look at, so...Not even with your member. Damaged goods. In more ways than one.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease? The velocity at which they are dismantling the IBD and local shops and taking over.....then going with a Consumer Direct sales model.
Like Rumpled mentioned above.....RnR was bought up by Sp......that was 7 IBD's/LBS in OC that are now a corporate shop. Does it affect me? No, I don't shop there anyway. But my understanding is that that buyout did affect lots of local teams and clubs that were sponsored by that shop.
Jenson usa selling them nowAlso mentioned in there is that Specialized buying up shops.
Don't remember if it's been mentioned here, but the big S bought up Rock n Road.
The former owners are now employees of Specialized in varying roles. Don't know if they will be rebranded or keep the name.
Trek has already done this to an extent and other companies sell direct as well.Still like Specialized????

Lagunitas has been bought by Heineken.
