You are correct! It does appear to be a long travel 29er. I heard it will be called the Revel Rival. I also heard it will start with an I. I guess we'll see soon enough.

I'm not sure about the length of the seat tube. It appears to be so long it would inhibit adequate saddle drop for some riders, but it's pretty hard to tell how low the saddle would go while sitting in my desk chair upstairs in the loft.

Not sure I would want to lower my saddle any lower than the seat tube already allows.

I see what you mean now. The profile image shows the top tube sloping pretty low. Wouldn't want the scrotum to get too close to that Minion DHR II under compression!

That's a lot of spacers under the stem (in both photos - the black bike and the red bike). It looks like a tall guy bought a bike that was a little too small.

Revel shipped my Rascal that way. The steer tube isn’t so long that I’ve felt the overwhelming urge to cut it, but it came out of the box looking a bit dopey.
I figure maybe the spacer stack appeals to some potential resale customer someday. It only bugs me when I think about it.

Yeah, my Ranger shipped with four 10mm spacers. Three below the stem and one above. Ultimately ended up with 2 below and cut the steerer accordingly.

I raced this 24 HOP as a SS duo. Combined we completed 10 laps (5 each).... 20+ solo is mind boggling.

20 mm seems perfectly in the wheelhouse.
I assume that everyone knows that fork manufacturers warn not to exceed 30mm of spacer below the stem. Seems to me if you need more than 30mm, your bike is too small, or perhaps not the best frame design for your hand-height preferences.
