I'm riding my bike RIGHT NOW! (Live and direct)

Have you tried a Scott Spark ? I really like the remote lockout (front/back). I would think you would like the fingertip adjustment to lockout on climbs, then trail or open modes for rougher terrain. I'm all about efficiency when climbing and plushness on the downs.
The Scott Spark is too XC for me. The Ranger has remote lockout as an option and even internal routing for it. :)

Yep, you guessed it. Demo still in progress....

Spotty light showers this morning. I had plans for something great but the fear of getting soaked scared my away. But I just couldn’t sit at home hiding so I got geared up and headed for Cherry. Hero dirt was had, making trail speeds higher than in recent visits. Not many folks out. Super humid and foggy. Sunglasses would fog up immediately on climbs. Made it through without any rain drops. Currently having breakfast at Starbucks while a wave of drops passes through. I greatly appreciated the lack of a beating down sun on my back and had a great roll through. 10+ miles of smiles. Life is good!

I thought your brake was broken – ?

I thought your brake was broken – ?
He's been living on the edge with a cracked piston. I kept making sure he didn't go over the side on Super Strawberry last week...
That's actually kind of funny because many of you guys have told me to lay off the brakes.

In truth, I MAY have a cracked piston in the front caliper. It certainly is chipped. I ordered and already have a brand new caliper assembly ready to go. I just need to swap it over and let my LBS bleed the system. But until that time, I'm just going to keep riding it as is. Two rides in since I chipped the piston and no failure. We mountain bikers live on the edge, do we not? I'm likely heading to Big Bear on Weds this week for a few days, chipped piston be damned, because my bike is coming with me.

I had a date with this hill climbing up the canyon from Crystal Cove yesterday after seeing a guy climb it on his fancy Specialized bike. At the base I took in a deep breath put my bike in the granny gear, sat down and started cranking. I took 2 rests going up it but made it all the way. I was really happy about that and in fact no HAB for me all day. I'm still slow but I have heart in this activity. Quail Hill to Crystal Cove and back. 25 mi/ 3,600 elevation. Oopsie! Wrong thread- I'm posting pics anyway.
