We love the smell of Cherry in the morning!
Get a job! (just jealous...)
Awesome shot.
Ahhhh! I've ridden there. Lots of creek crossings. Bring your ice skates. I assume you'll hit Thunder Mountain after lunch?

You’re gonna want some speed to clear the bedrock with your crank.
This was more of a reference to the trail, than the specific feature. This is the entrance to Suicide. Local gem that I always assumed was over my pay grade, and had not ridden, but decided to tackle today after some encouragement from my LBS guy. You’re gonna want some speed to clear the bedrock with your crank.
I am guessing there is quite a loss of altitude from the scratched up rock to the big rock on the left side of the trail, but you really can't see it in this photo. Looks like some slightly bumpy trail. Please tell us how it went!
There is. What makes it particularly sketchy though is the seemingly flat rock that is just barely peaking out above the center of the first rock. You have to roll right over it, but it's wobbly AF. If you get thrown right either of those 2 rocks toward the bottom will send you OTB. Full disclosure: I walked this one. Crappy way to start a run, but with hospitals full and a wife 3 days removed from surgery and unable to drive, this was probably not the best day for me to push it on Suicide, so I vowed to myself that I'd be overly conservative. I rolled up on this feature twice. I'm sure I could have overcome the apprehension, but the fact that rolling it totally ran afoul of my game plan was front and center in my mind, so I chose to fight this fight another day. Overall though, while there are a few sections that are more than I can chew, I was pleasantly surprised how little I had to walk. On a day with no extenuating circumstances, and with the trail knowledge that I have now, I think I'd only walk two, maybe three things. One being the punch bowl that I had to lower my bike down from above, and then slide down myself. A couple things I walked today were less about what was directly in front of me, and more about not knowing what it was going to spit me out into, and not having time to walk lines to scout them before riding them. However there was lots of steep fast chunk with good sight lines so you can just let loose and trust the bike to get you to the bottom. Much of the trail was much more flowy than I expected. Overall, super fun, but with problems that will take time for me to figure out. It wasn't a "yes, I did it!" feeling at the bottom, but a check mark and some good mental notes. Mission more or less accomplished.I am guessing there is quite a loss of altitude from the scratched up rock to the big rock on the left side of the trail, but you really can't see it in this photo. Yeah, Rodney's friend.Pretty sure a guy broke his leg there on a group ride we did....
