I Rode My eBike Today…

Saweeeeet!

I rode my Ebike today in Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta. It is just north of Glacier National Park and actually this area is known as Waterton/Glacier International Peace Park.
There are trails where bikes are allowed. Very limited but there is some nice Singletrack.
E-bikes, class 1, are legal.
I rode a lot of paved road also.
Approximately 35 miles and 3,300 ft.
Maybe I will do a little report and pic dump later.

Another Meetup ride with The Ruckster at Black mountain. A nice group of e and MTB. Met a couple new people and was introduced to some new tech Knoll dh and Doug hill dh. Nice rocky sections.
Good times before the heat.

Rode with the Rucker Rippers at Beeler Canyon. Beelers to Martha's Grove then back up and down Beeler. Did the Coyote Maze to finish. There is some tricky stuff out there. No pics this group is fast! Steep climbs and descents with lotsa rocks and water bars. Good times.

First trip to Luiseno Bike Park . I liiiiiiked it! Camping . very cool Ziplines and MTB . You have the option of climbing the upline which I do not recommend as it is one steep motha. The Levo handled it well in trail mode but it took some finesse . There is still about 100 yards of rclimbing HAB to the top after drop-off that only the strongest riders will clean. The stake bed truck is an adventure in itself. Interesting place. They are really expanding and plans for lift access soon. The trails are a bit raw and with nice natural rock features and jumps. Nice all mountain riding. There is a dh run over 4 mi. long with a bit of pedaling in the middle. The employees are very friendly . I will be back.

The shuttle truck is still sketchy? LOL, that was the main complaint about this place last year. :gag:

Regardless, Luiseno is in my plans before the end of the year. Looks fun.

Hall pass this week. Bomb Squad destination SLO! I have been getting teasers from @scan and @SnakeCharmer so this was it. Arrived Fri afternoon and Saturday morning met Snake charmer at Irish hills. A very cool trail system with lotsa rocks! Did I say rocks! We bobbed and weaved through the techy , tight trails a nice warm up for the next ride a few miles away after a bite. Good stuff. Ya gotta want it baby!

Monday @SnakeCharmer had a breakfast with the family and would be headed back home but not before giving me the lowdown on Cuesta ridge. I was originally supposed to go home also but felt I had not gotten the best of San Luis Obisbo. I. Wanted more! I got my stay extended a day a set out to sample Cuesta Ridge. Usually this ride is a shuttle but without my riding buddy that was not gonna happen. No problem it would be Levo time! Steep ,rocky , looose singletrack and fireroads to the top. This climb is not recommended unless you like Paaaain. No problem for the Levo. Finally at the towers and a bar it was time to slice and dice me some cake. How sweet it was! Botanical to Morning Glory! Endless sketch! Steeper, faster and bigger chunk all in s beds of fist sized marbles! Total focus baby no attention deficit here! I had to break a couple time just to get my legs back. Killer baby! On to Jailbreak and Stenner flow to finish with the jumps and whoops through the dense Eucalyptus forest and swoopy berms with miles of smiles back to the Bomb Squad mobile. Duuude I’m done, stick a fork in me. Totally satisfied and good memories of SLO with the Snake Charmer.
We rode it like we stole it!
You rock Snakeman!

Botanical and Morning Glory are the bomb! Glad you had a great time on the Central Coast!

I was out near Ridgecrest supporting my daughter riding our club motorcycle enduro. My wife and I stayed an extra night and were the last ones in the area. I had an opportunity to ride to the Trona Pinnacles. I was by myself on the ride. It was down a highway and then onto an access road. Once at the Pinnacles there was a motorhome that was camped there. Other than the motorhome no one to be seen in that part of the desert. 18 miles.

Wow that looks like moonscape!
I can only imagine what that place was like in the early days.
