Good job, team!!!
Que?I love it when the few step up and put on the masses faces. Those pics are shocking for obvious reasons.
That's what I was thinking???Que?
The few who are working on any particular trail are putting smiles on the faces of the others who ride them, that includes me. And I’m shocked how much the pictures posted show how much has changed there.Que?
Yes, in many sections, it's been shaved clean. But the overall personality of that section of trail remains the same. I suspect that the open grassland sections that part of the trail runs through were once dense bushes/trees. Across the way, we saw at least one stand of pines. I bet there was a heck of a lot more of those there many, many moons ago, and probably where the trail runs through now.The few who are working on any particular trail are putting smiles on the faces of the others who ride them, that includes me. it definitely put a smile on my face today! The few who are working on any particular trail are putting smiles on the faces of the others who ride them, that includes me. And I’m shocked how much the pictures posted show how much has changed there.
Brushed a few miles of trail today at our local system. @mtbMike did work on the same trail the day before.

Awesome sauce! and thanksWe’ll have another work day if anyone wants to join, I’ll post it up
5-Deer Mountain Bike Trail was the only MTB trail I saw labeled on a 7.5’ USGS Topo Map.Met up with a few friends at Five Deer to resurrect part of this old time mtb trail. We got a lot done thanks to John and his weed saw(don’t know the name of it , but it’s like a bladed weed whacker). Believe it or not I’ve never ridden 5Deer, I’ve only done trail runs and 4X off roading up there.
The weather was freaking perfect, with a nice cool breeze the whole time. Thanks @JoeMac for helping out, it was great to meet Debbie as well, please thank her for me! Sorry we didn’t get any pics of you two in action! We’ll have another work day if anyone wants to join, I’ll post it up

You’re welcomeAwesome sauce! and thanks
I have no idea what you're talking about. I hope you had permission from the landowner for that vandalism.
Sara, if you don't already take a daily antihistimine, I urge you to take it for the next several days. It will reduce your reaction to PO and maybe even block it all together.More Five Deer work today! There were five of us and the weather was more than ideal, with a nice layer of fog and a cool breeze. The poison oak was freaking everywhere and it was unavoidable! I am horribly allergic dammit, I had a bad experience a few yrs ago (that’s a whole other story) so we’ll see how this pans out in a few days...
John killed it by clearing a section that was nearly un-passable, he also cleared out a truck load of PO so that I could follow and do my job. Betweeen the 5 of us we got a lot of trail cleared, but there’s still more to do.

Haha, I had to get a pic! That was from a large branch, not meHow did you manage to cut John’s ear?
This looks like the spot where we called it a day, but @SS Barby did keep going around the bend for a bit. The guys are talking about bringing a chainsaw or building a wood rampNice work MT Girl (and all).
Did you get to this spot yet? Attn: Sawyers...

I suppose you could dig a go-around but that would harsh someone's flow.
Two days after said ramp is completed, an inevitable windstorm will topple another tree over the first one. This looks like the spot where we called it a day, but @SS Barby did keep going around the bend for a bit. The guys are talking about bringing a chainsaw or building a wood ramp
