6.4% ain't bad...
Yeah, looks to be 573 feet of gain in a mile. That wall hurts but not as bad as Burkhart climb Mikie.
It's not 6.4%...6.4% ain't bad...

Do you know the gain on Burkhardt? The only time I rode the Wall, I remember it being loose, making it that much harder.Yeah, looks to be 573 feet of gain in a mile.
It's more than 6.4%, or at least it felt like it!It's not 6.4%...
Okay, it sounds like I have wife clearance.
I'm going to be slow on the climbs. So anyone that doesn't think they have what it takes - COME BE MY BUDDY. (@Cornholio I'm looking at you) Especially looking at that rider list, I'm easily going to be double digit minutes behind the others on the LHJ climb. My best climb up LHJ is 1:40, and I'm going to be closer to 2hr than I'm gonna be to 1:40 Saturday. I'll go faster once we make it across MD to the top of Trabuco But until then, I'll be sweeping heh. (And again, if y'all drop me, it's okay. I know my way, and I know I can do the ride - even on base mileage that I might only have atm)
I've ridden up it - without stopping or walking, after climbing Holy Jim. Sure I cramped about 3 miles later, but that's par for my course, after 3000-3500'. I am certain that if you do not tell the newcomers that they are now riding "the wall" that many will be "in the zone" or too busy socializing to even notice. Especially those with a big ol' pie plate with teeth on the rear of their bikes. The elevation isn’t bad... Same as the first mile of Harding. It’s the baby head sized rocks.
With a granny gear, you can spin up it. @mike and Amy cleared it last time.

High of 70° in the foothills – sounds pretty good

Are you going to be joining us Mike?

So you are coming then?
Uh, oh....guess I should pack some extra Tailwind.
But, think of the poor stockholders!LOL! Actually, my Niece works there so she gave me her employee discount. SCORE, big time!!!
I'm a maybe right now. Need to check with the wife. If I do I will be in my Neighborhood Cyclery jersey.@Anyone Else?
I remember there is an escalator on the wall...
But it was broken when i rode it..
I lied..
I walked it...
Stupid escalator...
"the wall"?
Do explain.
Not really really steep but it is steep and almost always loose. I’ve never cleaned it but never attempted it with gears. It's really, really steep. No mystery.
