Yea sorry for not informing you guys earlier. Last week i went by the bike shop to test ride some, Was looking at santa cruz, marin, and scott bikes. I ended up getting the 2016 scott genius 710 Plus. I was able to get it for 4 grand plus tax. It felt really nice and fun. Enjoyed the large tires and all around set up. Even with large tires i can climb pretty well, but also i can throw the bike around. Im still unsure if i made the right choice but i love the bike. Ive been doing a lot of research on 27+ bikes but they get a lot of mixed reviews/opinions. Wether its for newbs, or its the future. Who knows but i really enjoy it. Maybe i am a newb, but ive been riding my whole life and pretty crafty on two wheels. The guys at the shop were decent help but also felt the salesman side. But i tried to believe them when they gave me good feedback about their experience with the bike. Was able to talk them down in price, they had it marked 4399 from 5000. after spending a lot of time there i told them i would pay 4000. Eventually got it. Then after a couple of easy trail riding, the crank or bracket was creaking. Took it there and they "fixed it", after locktite dried i rode it next day and the sound was worse. Took it back again and also went from 30 teeth in the front to 34 and tubeless. Anyways got it back and i still hear a little something from the cranks, so i may have to investigate so more and get these guys to fix it again. I was telling myself i should not hear any of the noises from brand new bike that i paid a good chunk for. I believe they sold it to me and it was not lubed. ALthough they have been taking care of me no questions asked, Im wondering if they half assed the bike prep for sale or whomever put it together. ALl in all i like the bike, still need to ride some harder stuff and bigger jumps. Everything is perfect except the crank or bracket making noise. Which they have fixed twice but now since im so worried about it im listening for any kind of noise coming from my feet area. ill post pictures later when i have a chance. Thanks for the help, and by the way, i can barely find any reviews on the bike except for some published article. Ive been looking for more reviews and thoughts on the bike. I guess it doesn't matter much, just ride it myself and have fun. Thanks everyone.
Do what I do for a creak, take it all apart and lube and tighten.
