Gnarly rescue taking place in Laguna

I just got this update from Chris Hukill's GoFundMe site. Still a long way to go but making great progress:

"Today my dad got to come home for the day to celebrate Father's Day! What a great gift! He has not been home for 2 months now. He will stay at the subacute facility for a few more weeks before he comes home permanently. But, it was nice to have him home for the day! He even got to pet the cat. We are so grateful for all of the progress he has made to be able to get to this point in his recovery!"

He still has strong looking legs! Glad to see progress. I know we are all hoping, praying and positive-vibing for a full and complete recovery. There, but for the Grace of God (or luck - if that's your belief system) go we!

That's good to hear!
When then accident happened I couldn't understand how he went off where he did but after reading that story I can understand a bit better. Here's the quote:

Hukill had ridden some of the many mountain bike trails that crisscross the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, but not the Telonics trail. He suggests this unfamiliarity may have been the cause of his accident.

Glad he's doing much better!
