Get yer FiveTens

5.10s will be produced in Adidas' factories, but the business that was 5.10 is gone.
Both good and bad news. Good in that flat pedal shoes have big business support now. Bad that a small business is going away. However, small business sparks innovation, and most bought out owners usually go on to do other great things, so maybe this will free the founders to innovate somewhere else!

My buddy gave me a tube of E6000 glue that he'd used on his shoes. I was skeptical
but tried it w/ a bunch of adj clamps and it's held up for a couple of months so far.
I've used Shoe goo with decent success. I don't put a ton of time into cleaning the area before applying which is why it might not last longer, but normally other areas of the shoe start to separate before the shoe goo ever fails. And when it does I just peel it off and reapply. Once it goes beyond the edges and the bottom of the sole starts to peel off, then its time for new shoes...

My 510 Impact VXi's have held together well, structurally. I use Shoe Goo to "resole" them. The rubber is great, but I tear it up. Shoe Goo seems to be close to as sticky as the Stealth rubber on pins.

got home from work and checked 510s site. They are blowing out all their hiking and canyoneering shoes for $80, just oredered a pair of the gtx camp 4's (normally $190!)
Just got them. Awesome sole and fit, but zero cushion or flexibility feel like bricks, probably sending them back. Bummer.
