First rains?

Wednesday newscast...

"Jim, I'm standing here on the corner of Beach and Talbert where moments ago, drops of water seemed to come from the sky and land on the ground. But not just the ground, it landed on cars, houses, businesses and even people. If I can get the camera to zoom in to this spot where I am told some of that water had collected into a formation called a "puddle..." We will have details and interviews at 11:00."

Sometime in the near future:

I hope to be long dead when rain becomes that rare.

I just got back from a quick Luge loop from the house, and the sky was a really nasty purple black over the peak, and towards Lake Elsinore. I wouldn't be surprised if they're already getting some up there.

Hoping like crazy for rain, but nothing that’s gonna cause harm!

Some pictures of clouds over the Santa Ana Mountains taken on Sunday evening. There is definitely some weather a brewing.

Still nothing here. This looks promising but it appears to be breaking up and moving NE.

Yes, agreed. I feel it will be a wet afternoon here. We did get some overnight and that was nice. I am working today but I may cut it short if the sky opens up while I am still out there. Nothing scarier than driving on a wet freeway that hasn't been washed off with rain in several months and is loaded with idiots that do not know how to drive on slick surfaces.
