Based on the headtube angle I would tend to agree with you both.
There are alot of older bikes that people want to sell up here. Even a Proflex but it doesn't have the funky front suspension.

With the FSR (Horst Link) Suspension which was licensed at that time, it's either Specialized or Intense. Probably the former.

If that's a 24" rear wheel - it's a Big Hit Comp.

Can you look it up based on the serial number usually stamped somewhere like in the bottom bracket area?
