Thanks Faust29. Awesome to see such comraderie among all mountain bikers! I would like to raise the flag from half staff on 09/13, but will wait until my son's baseball schedule to see what time I will be able to head out there. Thanks again for everyone's support and condolences.

Thanks for this. I will do what I can to make it. I will have to wear goggles to contain the waterworks...
 
Once you exit Whiting Ranch, it's only 45 minutes in the baking sun on STT at an easy pace. I'd like to start earlier, but was trying to make it an "easy" start time for those who aren't early risers.
 
Hi everyone. Since I am a newbie on mtn biking, I may not to be able to ride up with you guys. I looked at the map of the trails you've indicated and appears to include those marked as difficult. Else, I would love to participate. Can someone record the riding adventure and flag raising event on Gopro and share with us?

FYI. There will be a large group of riders joining me on our commemorative ride to honor Andy and to raise the flag tomorrow. In addition, there will be a group of hikers joining as well. His wife and brother-in-law among other friends and relatives will be hiking up the Luge and from the main gate at Modjeska grade. It will be busy, and I apologize in advance for any inconvenience it may cause any rider, but it will be an emotional event for sure.
