I'm dreaming of a Ti, Christmas
I'm trying to click on the cart at the upper right for ya!!
A beauty Mikie, but the kickstand is butt ugly.Oh that MMMMMmmmm was not "exactly" for me, it was for @noLungs digging and wanting a Yeti in general. My Yeti would look a little more like this:

What? ..."Shhhhhh" and I-9s are mutually exclusive, unless you are referring to the sound your riding partners will be uttering anytime you stop pedaling!
Beautiful hoops nonetheless.
I-9s are loud. Very, very loud.What? ...
What?...
I guess more "all I got for Christmas"..... but haven't gotten to ride it yet. Jenson had these ccdbacs so stupid cheap I couldn't justify not getting one... as an extra to my sometimes leaky non CS, but with a slightly shorter stroke and climb switch. Shakedown/tuning ride this week I hope.
My real Christmas wish is for more better health. Two thousand 16 has been a challenge, least I've ridden in the past 5 years by a good margin... and resulting in not checking in here as much, since you all's rides make me jealous that I can't ride so much.... gotta/gonna change that!
Happy Holidays to you all, and merry Christmas!

I just submitted a request to ride the Yeti SB5+ if they have it in large and available. Maybe we could go demo some bikes together.... Now I guess I'm not helping either? You and @scott are NOT helping Scott is already talking about getting matching YETI jerseys
Maybe we can gather enough imtbtrails Yeti's to fill a page with pics.... but not yet I fearI love being one of the "deferent Yeti people's"
but not yet I

No stopping him now...
OK, where to start. I bought the DVO Edition Intense Tracer 275c last February for a price I cannot disclose. It came with a DVO Jade coil shock and a DVO Diamond fork. See this thread for more.
I never got along with the Jade. For a coil shock, it seemed easily overwhelmed and I could not get it dialed in. Since I already owned an almost-new Cane Creek Inline with the same dimensions, I slapped that on and smiled! One pound less and very plush. But now the Inline has over 250 hours on it and needs a rebuild. I was planning to send it to Cane Creek and slap the Jade on while the CC was being serviced.
Meanwhile, I alternated between the DVO Diamond fork and my Marzocchi 350 which I had just purchased July 2015. The DVO was good, but the Marzocchi was better at speed. Very noticeably so. Therefore, my DVO Edition Tracer was just a green Tracer with no DVO on it.
Evidently, my hero @UPSed talked to Bryson Martin about a guy he knows who rides a DVO Edition but doesn't use the DVO stuff. I guess Bryson wasn't happy about that and told Ed to have that doofus call him or Ronnie Dilan at DVO to talk. I called Ronnie, and told him of my desire to trade the Jade for a Topaz - for a reasonable sum - and explained my dissatisfaction with the Diamond compared to the Marzocchi (which he and Bryson actually helped design). Ronnie said, "send me your fork - I know what you're after and I can make that happen. And send me your Jade and I will sell you a Topaz for (a very reasonable amount) - and I will custom tune the Topaz for you and your bike, as well as the fork." I sent the goods last Tuesday, and got the new stuff today.
I am anxious to give it a try - especially the Topaz. I can't ask for anything better than my Marzocchi fork, so I will wait until I dial in the Topaz before I try the improved Diamond. Change one thing at a time.
A HUGE thank you to @UPSed for thinking of me. I owe you a few beverages, and maybe even lunch!
Welcome @Mauritius de Klerk! Super stoked to see the new faces posting on the site!Howzit, just joined ...
I will start to build-up a new Tracer 275C DVO edition this week.(Bought the frame only)...and by the sound of things most guys are swopping out the DVO Jade? I have a Monarch RTC3 Plus that I can fit. I was thinking of testing both and see what feels the best, besides the obvious weight difference. Is the Jade given problems and will you recommend that it go with the RS monarch from the start?
Also, I have a 170mm Lyrik that I want to fit...do you see any problem with that. I don't think the 10mm will make such a big difference or put extra force on the frame.

I bought my DVO edition because I got an awesome price on the full bike. I've had great success with coil shocks on my DH bikes, but had never had one on my all-purpose bike. I could not get the Jade to behave the way I wanted it to behave climbing, so I ended up tuning it wrong for descending. I had a Cane Creek Inline that fit, so I quickly swapped that out and was very satisfied both climbing and descending, plus dropping a pound of weight. I now have a DVO Topaz and it is a GREAT fit for the Tracer. I think your Monarch would be a much better starting point than the Jade. If you can get your hands on a Topaz for a reasonable price, you can keep that DVO look and have a great shock.
The 170mm Lyric would be superb on the front. Slacking it out 1/2 degree won't hurt, and I highly doubt it would over stress the headtube area. I don't think the Tracer suffers from a weak layup. Just don't use more than 30mm of spacers under your stem - that puts too much pressure on the steer tube of the fork, irrespective of the frame.
I see you found my Tracer thread. I'll just transfer this answer over there.
And again - Welcome!
