After this is over - will it be a great time to buy a used bike?

I'm looking to buy a VRBO/Airbnb type properties in the next few months...

Preferred location:
Mammoth, Prescott Valley, Durango CO, Carbondale CO, Bend OR, Squeamish BC.

If the tourist business drys out for a year (or two) there might be a few nuggets in location I would wouldn't mind owning a second home.

We looked at something similar last recession, but it's those damn HOA fees that killed it. They aren't that bad if you're renting it out all the time, but if it's something you want to use somewhat regularly, the HOAs bring it to a break-even sort of a place. And then we decided, just rent when we want to go somewhere instead of trying to have a fixed place. I'm sure over time the property should appreciate, but kind of a hassle.

I'm sure from a pure investment stand point those things don't make sense, but I keep on telling my self that if I own a house in Squeamish (for example) I might spend 3-6 weeks a year up there.
I might be cheaper to rent a place every time you want to go, but (knowing how my mind works) the added expense will inevitably reduce the amount of time that I'll end up vacationing.

HOAs are great when they can protect the sanctity of a community. By that I mean dispose of rentals and maintain only owner occupation, which usually includes an inherent vested interest in the property and community. I suppose this doesn’t jive with the renter premise.

Look! No HOA fees:

What are the specs and $ on the used bike residing within the used dwelling that I presuppose sits on a ninety-nine year forestry lease. How am I doing gang?

I listed my old gravel bike for sale for $500. A little high in my mind, but probably close to actual value. I was hit by 20 people by the time I got home from work.

One guy sent only this as a message: "150"

I responded: "$600"

GF did just pick up a slightly older Pivot Mach 5 though. It looked fantastic in the pictures, and the price seemed right. I told her to jump on it. She was already second in line when the ad was only 5 minutes old! Luckily the woman selling it wanted to sell it to another woman.

To the OP, I checked the Bikes Direct site for yuks. All of their cruisers are sold out (even "e's") except for a $500, ss version with a coaster brake. Answer, I think if/when this is over, there might be a bunch of cheap bikes available.
