2019 Kokopelli Epic Adventure

It's been a couple weeks ago now...
I was riding with some of the imtbtrails Hooligans, and @scan was asking me about my right knee that no longer has a meniscus as I have ground it down to bone. I told him I was all good and relatively pain free.
Well, all this training for Koko has changed my mind some. This morning my knee is giving me grief... :( It is what it is. Going to cruise the climbs and bomb the Technical!
I hope the proverbial, "I'm getting too old for this Sh!t!" is not coming true! :whistling:

Bike on!

This sounds like a hoot! Is it too late for me to sign up?? I have ridden the Floop a couple times this month so I think I'm ready...
I would just show up.
Don't sign in. Just go out with the first wave and learn somebody's name on the trail for the check points. Just keep learning new names for each checkpoint and they will not figure it out until the last day.
Surely with all the tech training and climbing on the FLOOP, you have GOT to be ready for this cakewalk...:whistling:

Heal up Mikie and Sharone! Even more reason to just chill out on the Kokopelli and simply enjoy the scenery, bikes and the camaraderie. I'm in no hurry to race to the campground each day....well, unless its getting dark and beer supplies are low then it's each man for himself. LOL

Damn. Sorry to hear that @Old Skool :(

I’ll be at the meet up spot in Moab as well. My wife will be driving me to the ride start Thursday morning. I can serve as overflow shuttle if anyone wants to leave their vehicle in Moab.

Luis, do you still have two spots available in your truck? I originally had a spot with Mikie, but my work buddy is interested in shuttling if you have the room. Then my spot in Mikie's van would be free for someone else to utilize.

Yes
I will be at the carpool spot and between the two vehicles, we will sort out the shuttle situation. I will put on my tailgate pad to accommodate one or two bikes plus my hitch rack holds two. Got to leave some room for our gear.

Hoping you all have an awesome adventure and everyone has a safe and fun ride! Totally bummed about not making it, the medication I'm on has knocked down the bronchitis now some, and I'm starting to feel better and even more pissed off about missing out! Cheers to all and lets get Mikie & the Toms out again for one more Koko in 2020.

Did we decide what day is the official imtbtrails jersey day? I only got the one.
If it’s up to me, I’ll say day one.
I just bought two more jersey's myself, mine were getting pretty shredded.
But I agree with Day One so we can represent at the initial riders meeting.

So just a reminder, Alex is a smack talker, he's already been smack talkin' about me with @Old Skool, so I'm hopful for the usual imtbtrails smack talk extravaganza... :whistling:

Mix up a small bow of Tailwinds. Take a paint brush and brush the tailwinds on to both tires. Not only will it keep mud from sticking, but it will also give you added traction, decreased roll resistance, and make your tires puncture proof... :whistling:
Yea! And I snuck a bunch into my wife’s breakfast and daughter’s milk today hoping it gets them to self-sustain for a week. If it works, i’ll be there in my iMTBtrails speedo.

Getting mudded falls into the "mechanicals" category. I don't wish that character building on anyone!!! :geek:

Dark, scary clouds, some nearby lightning strikes, lots of doubt and wondering how worthy that featherweight storm gear actually is...that sounds good :D
Richfield,Utah today

I was hoping to catch the local trail system here in Ritchfield, Utah this afternoon. It’s windy with dark rain showers nearby but not here yet- So.. Instead I went through my back pack thinning out supplies and went through my gear bag thinning out shirts, undies and extra gear I probably won’t need.
