2017 Redlands Strada Rossa

So I was reading through the registration page......

What looks odd to you:
Redlands Strada Rossa the IV 90 MILE!!! 9 Hour cut off time!
Redlands Strada Rossa the IV- 100KM(62 mile) 8 hour cut off time.
Redlands Strada Rossa the IV- 50Km(31 mile) 7 hour cut off!

Apparently, that extra 28 miles for the 90....you gotta do it in an hour.

Remember the rest stop last year... One was going to be there for the next "couple hours", and the one after was already gone when we rolled through. We may be self-supported!

Are you still interested?

Edit: I see we managed 9.5 mph while moving last year, but it took us just under 12 hours for the 100.

I'm in. I have a better idea of what the route will be like....where to push and where to back off. I'll register when it get a bit closer.

A screenshot of the 66 mile route has been posted...

They said the 100 mile route will be posted closer to the event... Is it going to be 100 or 90? I was actually looking forward to the 90/8000, which would be significantly easier than last year.

@mtnbikej - I asked on the Facebook page if it was going to be 100 like last year or 90 like the registration said. The prompt answer was that it will be "100ish". :D

Well technically, last year was only 90 miles....at least that is how it was marked.:whistling:

Why does the 66 mile route look like it is going backwards? Then again, i was lost the whole route last year.

I'm already signed up but not sure if my IEBA is current. I don't want any surprises on ride day. Is there a way to check? Thanks
Al, if you got through the sign up hassle, you're in! The site won't let you pay member price if it wasn't current. THANKS for being a member as well as signing up for the ride!

Hello and welcome to the site! @Cyclotourist will jump in, I'm sure, but I don't think you could have finished the event sign-up without meeting the requirement. It made me when I signed up...

I did the 100 miler last year with @mtnbikej and we're both signed up for the 90 this year. See you out there! Look for the two crazies on the Santa Cruz single speeds.

Thanks guys! I did look at saved emails and saw that I do have receipts for both. I did the 60 last year on a 29er. I have a cross bike now but not entirely sold on using it this year. A map was posted showing reverse direction this year. Is that a good map. I know it's fun for organizers to wait to post routes but it's hard when you are not familiar with the area. The course was generally marked well last year. Only got lost a couple times, ha! The hardest part was when we left the dirt for the last time. The markings just disappeared.

We were talking about that the other day... 100 mile course, 90 miles of markings! We had the route loaded on the Garmin, and followed the line all day. We screwed up a few times, but didn't stray too far.

Yes, it seems they're being cagey again about releasing the routes... Part of the adventure, I guess.
